yup,ive fitted hundreds of various filters, some rattle some dont.....?
-
get it pressure tested,if you have antifreeze in there you will see a stain from the leak, check your coolant cap seal as they can flip over, other than that start to suspect the headgasket.
-
not worth it,stick a supercharger on there, allot more bang for allot less money and time!

ah right soz thought you were on about the manifolds,i would say if it visually looks good it probably will be good as in no soot around joint and the weaving around the flexi joints are intact? -

surly you would see a crack in the castings before you fit it? -
If you had the choice would you go schrick obd1 or 2?
CorradoVR6-Turbo replied to winchbietch's topic in Engine Bay
well if you went with schrick and obd1,it would just stall and be worse off on fuel lol -

why not use the schrick and OBD2 and get the best out of it? -

not many cons really...stick with OBD2 no matter what set up you got! also i had no low speed throttle problems with my OBD2 set up,also i noticed that the throttle body corroded inside so worth pulling cover off and checking. -

yea but they are attached to the servo pipe and draw air in on over run...thats by the idle valve? thats a pipercross filter not ecotec valve. -

1st pic,the aux water pump, they run when the engine is switched off, they are common to fail but do bugger all imop....leave it be. 2nd pic ,the filter looks well dirty, clean it or replace it,also check the wiring to the lambda sensor, its close to the rear engine mount, often corrode and cause over fueling issues... 3rd pic shows the idle valve air resivour with a filter attached? possible idle valve bypassed? you need to look into that further, possible overfuelling and poor running issues... 4th pic is the fuel pressure test kit connection, this is normal. -
it was a calling to get a new set...they look dead!
-
Sounds normal to me bud, does your car use coolant or over heat ?
-
no they differ in length and anti roll bar fitment.
-
i would think the tab sits to the side of the half moon, also only put sealer is the corners of the gasket..your don't need it anywhere else .
-
its either 30 or 32 mm multi-hex socket, ive had both on earlier vr's
-
sounds like lazy idle valve, this is a common trait with obd 1 vr's,my old vr used to do the same thing ,ive by passed the black idle valve box on the side, this helped
-
how quickly does it pressurise ? if it does it from cold quickly its headgasket..
