I guess I could use this with the R32 housing:

Hi guys I'm running an O2M gearbox on my VR6T, it's not ideal with the standard 12v VR6 thermostat housing in that one of the hoses rubs on the shifter. I've got an R32 thermostat housing but it only has two sensor outlets - I need three, blue, yellow and brown. I've also got a thermostat housing from an early V5, it's similar to the R32 one but has three sensor outlets. V5: R32: The issue I have with the V5 housing is the size of the top hose outlet. It is ~32mm compared to the R32 one which is ~38mm. Furthermore, the actual thermostat itself is smaller, similar in size to those found in 4 cylinder engines. V5: R32 Is this likely to cause me issues?

Hi all, I have for sale an R32 gearbox which has been rebuilt with the final drive from a 130pd diesel 02M - code DRW/ERF. The gearbox itself came from a low mileage R32 but everything was inspected during rebuild. The differntial has been bolted with ARP bolts and the selector forks have been bolted and welded. This box has not been used since being built. Just add oil and it's ready to go. This gearbox will hit 200+mph and 70mph in second. This box is ideal for turbocharged or supercharged 4motion's or R32's and perfect for 02m conversion in mk2/mk3/corrado etc. £900ono Collection preferred from RG42 (Bracknell, Berks) but could arrange courier. zero7855 858 551 Thanks Will

Hi I've aquired a phenolic spacer gasket for the inlet on my vrt, but also for the exhaust side. I've searched the net quite extensively for the exhaust side, but can't seem to find anything and seems they're only used on the inlet. Has anyone tried the exhaust side? Thanks Will

if your fitting an R32 and using the oem loom and ecu, use this to control the haldex diff just like in a mk4. Wont need a standalone controller then.
-
Inlet on this one has been modified, not sure if its to do with clearance on the turbo or not though.

Sorry for the poor quality pic

High pressure is the yellow wire and should be a black sensor, mine recently went, luckily i had an oil pressure gauge already installed so knew there wasn't an oil pressure problem, replaced the switch and all was good again. You can also check it isn't a clock/wiring fault. If you earth the yellow wire when the buzzer is sounding it should then switch the buzzer off.

the g60 4wd box wont physically fit to the vr6 engine, you need either a vr6 syncro gearbox or 02m from a r32
-
let the engine get up to temperature, then drive it hard.
-
the immobiliser box has live and earth? you wont be able to read engine fault codes if the immobiliser box isnt wired in properly. you should have black = +12v brown = earth grey/white = grey wire from engine loom grey = grey/white to obd port
-
loom out of an obd2 passat is ideal, its completely separate from everything else!
-
Good stuff, keep up the good work, you wont regret doing it! especially when you've done it yourself!
-
can you pm me a price for the calipers and carriers if your selling them please?
-
that was who i got the exhaust rubbers with chains in from, C&R - highly recommend them over the powerflex ones!
-
I've used the powerflex exhaust mounts before, and in my opinion utter rubbish! basically melted on vinces rolling road during mapping session, then replaced the melted ones, then after a day at santa pod they melted again! I now use the exhaust rubbers with chains in, cant remember who/where i got the from, but not had any problems since!
-
appologies for that then,
-
No they are not. Schricks are ground from new billets. I found 268s to be one of the most over rated mods for the VR6 ever. No they are not what? both are 268deg, both are 11.4mm lift and both 115deg separation, Your opinion on 268s alone, thats fine, my opinion is the vr6 should have left the factory with them, we'll see exactly what difference they have made to my car on Sunday, they will be the only mod since last rolling road.

sorry, i thought i posted the link up in my orginal post Clicky edit, i put link in my 2nd post, but there it is again anyway :D
-
yup, brand spanking new, were brought back in a suitcase of a friend that was out there on business so didnt have to pay delivery outside US and no import tax. wont go into details about the schrick manifold - that can be found in another thread.
-
well, i did run the cams with the schrick manifold, and still wasnt impressed at all with it, i've since taken it off.
-
corrado and golf cams are the same! my chains/guides/tensioners etc had already been done, so didnt need to do them all again, just needed to take inlet manifold off, cam cover off and side engine cover, undo the cam sprockets, took old cams out, put new cams and all back together! took about an hour or so....
