  1. Alright mate, so you know this happened to the Silverlines which couldnt of been too old! When your back down we will have to go out in my G60 so you can feel how the weitecs feel (and how a G60 feels!!)
  2. If dipped beams come on when you just press the head light swith to first position you didnt disconnect the dim dip resistor AFAIK. Thry should of stayed on dipped when the switch was put to the second step.
  3. Dim dip resistor is inside the wind infront of the battery, should be a yellow tube type thing. just disconnect the plugs. all your relay connects are done for you so you can skip all the 'connect to pin X of the relay' steps. any questions just shout!
  4. You dont need to go anywhere near the fusebox!!! passenger side light - Cut yellow wire (should be yellow anyway) connect wire still in the loom to the wire going to terminal 86 of the relay. the wire coming from the bulb should be commected to terminal 87 of the relay. Drivers side: - cut yellow wire, tape wire back into loom, wire from bulb then gets connected to relay. then connect termina 80 to earth, and terminal 30 to battery via 20amp fuse. For main beams repeat but with the white wire (i think!) I think most people use spade connectors so that if/when it fails it can be taken out and put back to standard in a few minutes It really is a 15 minute job for anyone who is competant! i made my own and it only took me half hour, and im useless when it comes to making things!!
  5. the face is effectively a sheet or perspex. Sonds like its actually a fraction larger than the hole so it gets held in by pressure, the same way diamonds are held into their fixings without glue etc... Looks different, would get people looking twice no doubt!
  6. Maybe posting a pic of the back of your unit would be helpful?
  7. Yeah i saw a couple of these! The indian dude moaning at the cockney for getting in his way all the time! does he not realise his car wouldnt move without a running engine??? It did make me chuckle when Leepu(sp) welded the bonnet shut while the engine was still sat in the gutter!!
  8. Havent had my charger done there yet, but Daz did my suspension and brakes and the service is second to none. He even stayed at the workshop late so i could get back from Guildford to pick the car up! There really is no choice its G-Werks everytime. if you didnt know Darren is G-man on here and this is the website!
  9. lol, am loving the way im being told what to do with your wheels
  10. lol. maybe diamond cut lip, black chrome and bright silver centres??? feeling another photoshop request coming on!!!
  11. yeah did notice that, always thought it looks quite good. Not sure about polished, a bit too bling for me! waiting to see a decent pic of the black chrome look.
  12. Mine was £700 but that was including a new radiator, cam belt change etc...
  13. The price did it for me! and seeing Jays old C on the picture page! must be decent!
  14. That'll do then!!! now need to find some time to be without car while it dries!
  15. Cheey feck  lol, i will do, but im at the office and no where near the car :( Oooo polished Imolas..... sounds tasty

  18. weird, mines the opposite!!! I accelrate and fuel gauge drops and when i brake it goes up! Quite normal though at he good Dr points out!
  19. lol, dont give me more ideas!!!! Need to check with parents tonight if we have a completion date for my Granddads bungalow, as to when i will have funds to buy! But am thinking i will go for it!
  20. Not sure! matey is holding them for 48 hours for me to decide!! waiting on more pics of kerbing damage first
  21. Cheers Jim. Am liking! Do like the Imolas alot too though, but they are completly knackered  It would be a drop down from 17" to 16", could just wind the coiles down to compensate!
  22. Can someone please photochop the wheels in this thread onto the pic below for me! Trying to decide whether or not to buy!
  23. Would of thought as long as its on the drivers side it will be fine. They will probabaly have a problem with it being passenger side due to throwing fumes straight up toward pedestrians! Looks sweet though!
  24. Cheers!!! must admit the order i used did come from reading through your threads. Wasnt going for a full detail, but just using some products i was given for xmas. anyway, i rinsed the car with the hose, then shampood the car with Autoglym Body Work Shampoo Conditioner twice as it was stupidly dirty after not being cleaned for a while. Then used the Meguirs Quick Clay (was amazed just how dirty it got when it just seems to glide on the spray) Shampood the car again, chamoised dry. while it was still drying i cleaned the glass with Autoglym Glass Cleaner To finish i used Autoglym Super Resin Polish. All i can say is WOW! And thats just with my very limited ability and a couple of hours! Also worth a mention i used a wash mit and microfibre cloths to polish etc.. Pics will follow when i get round to uploading them. Now just the interior to be given a seeing to tomorrow!!
  25. am thinking of spending at least today (possibly tomorrow too) cleaning the car in my head process is : Shampoo Clay Bar Shampoo Polish Wax Right order? wrong order? should i do anything else?
