  1. Alright Michael, You will need to take the door card off, there is a plug inside on the other end of the wires!
  2. Looking good! welcome to the world of splitter scrapeage!
  3. 39.5mpg is my record for a drive from Guildford to Portsmouth Oil temp has seen 136 on the drive to Stealth for the last RR day.
  4. im fairly busy this weekend too, so perhaps if your free next saturday you could pop down to give me a hand putting 2 new rear callipers and front brake hose on? Guy who did the MOT said to take the front caliper off and move the piston in and out by hand should sort it out. Ill se how i get on securing the headlight as it may just need a bit the good old greek godess of repair (Alradite) to fix the attachment clip. I sorted the 'light not working points by plugging them back in!
  5. Well another 12 months on...and shes failed again, nothing too horrific this time though: 1. Nearside front front position lamp(s) not in good working order (not working) 2. Nearside front headlamp not working on dipped beam 3. Nearside front headlamp not working on main beam 4. Nearside headlamp insecure 5. Nearside front brake hose excessively deteriorated 6. Offside from brake binding 7. Nearside rear parking brake recording little or no effort 8. Nearside rear parking brake recording little or no effort 9. Parking brake efficiency below requirments Headlight i think its just case if the plug has come loose or something and hand brake neads the cables replacing and probabaly new calipers as the handbrake mechs are stuck
  6. Fair enough! ill try to pop by tomorrow night if i still need it doing if thats ok.
  7. Cheers Darren, any chance you will be around until about 6:30ish tonight?
  8. Have looked the VAG com help thread but cant see anyone around my area! Does anyone in/around Portsmouth area have acces to VAG-COM and are willing to plug my G60 in to clear an ABS fault? Failing that i work in Guildford if theres anyone around there! eed help fairly urgently due to MOT on Friday! (not that i think she will pass anyway but hey ho!) Ta Andy
  9. I had the same problem a while ago, pulled fine on part throttle but hit WOT and it just bogged down. Checked rotor arm and dizzy cap and found signs of arcing so cleaned it up and she ran fine, so changed them both and she has been fine ever since
  10. i have the crystal Inpros on mine and i think the suit the colour (albeit a slightly different from yours) -
  11. and this morning...... there was i on my way into work, when i notice the temp guage going up and up and up, so i pull over and pop the bonnet. checked everything with a multimeter and i discover that the earth wire to the fan has snapped! Sure enough, put the 2 broken ends together and hey presto the fan comes on, then rummage through the boot to try to find some insulating tape to bodge it back together to get me to work. Unfortuanately the cable isnt quite long enough to stay in contact so it again gets a little warm! Managed to get to Halford and pick up some cable, connector bloc, insulating tape and a small screw driver, ready to fix her properly at lunch time! all this, and it wasnt even 9am!! marvelous!
  12. Its difficult to give an estimated BHP figure as all engines are so different. Do you know which firm did the rebuild of the charger?
  13. looking good mate. Still think they should of been colour coded  Thanks very much, its filthy at the moment, its been in a dusty garage for nearly a week so needs some tlc... dont know how you can ever say your car is filthy since youve seen how bad mine gets!!
  14. You should be able to hear the charger, its not a whine, but theres a noise, hold it about 2.5k and you should hear the induction pulse Stage 4 should mean some porting work has been done on the charger. Sounds liek either your charger is in need of a service or youve got a big boost leak. My advice would be to send it to G-Werks for a check up.
  15. On my way home from work this evening i had a bump, car infront stopped at green lights i slowed down behind her but didnt expect her to come to a complete stop only after i hit her did i see theun marked police car coming the other way turning righ at the junction. Damage to mine: Nearside fog light broken chunk out of front bumper panel between bumper and lights pushed up Plastic bit broken that attaches to body Grill spilt at top 2 small vertical sections missing damage to hers: 2 bits pf paint missing, one size of 5p, 1 size of 50p Will probabaly be buggered if she decides to claim on the insurance as ill lose my no claims and really dont know if i can afford the insurance without them. And i just cant afford to get the repairs done. so it may mean having to sell the 'old girl' and get something cheaper if the worst happens :(
  16. Can deffinatly recommend the Weitec Hicon TX Plus
  17. you wont regret it!!! Shes been a little more expensive than i would of liked, but every time i flick the key and hear the noise i smile. For me owning a G60 has been amazing fun and very enjoyable. Although she has started to make me go deaf! You wont regret getting one! much better than the VR6 IMO.
  18. thought id get round to popping a few more recent pics up as the car looks pretty different!! Clocks now changed: some nice beading after a polish: pics of a dewipered rear and painted headlights to come when camera decides to work and download the pics
  19. Your welcome to come do mine instead
  20. Could be that your black temp sensor is knackered. My coolant only goes up to 100+ when sat in traffic, usually sits between 80 and 90. what engine do you have? may help other dianose your problem.
  21. still only second best! Yeah they were well past their best at the time! it really is a 'must do' mod honest!! Theres loads you can do yourself without much difficulty! take off the rear wiper, uprated headlight loom, paint the lights black etc..
  22. Women drivers, what do they know  No it decided to die right at the end of the summer, think i used it too much! But on the plus side i changed my wiper blades, so can actually see in the rain! On and can deffinately recommend whipping off the rear wiper, looks SO much better, and improves rear visibility!
  23. Ouch! doesnt sound like your having too much fun with her at the moment Fay! Hope you get her all sorted and she stops burning a hole in your wallet! Just never forget your C is the second nicest possible (behind LC3Y naturally!)
