i got a set of the Thule roof bars with the the short roof adapter. Its dead easy to put on, and mine carried 2 xmas trees no problem!!
-
all depends on the offset of the wheels!! It should be stamped on the back of the wheel somewhere. im sure someone will be along soon to tell you what the ofset of the standard wheels are so you can work out what spacers you will need.
-
it all depends whether a full service history means anything to you!! after all ive known of a couple of donkeys that have had full VWSH and some minters with almost no history! If the car all looks tickety boo and wear and tear reflects mileage etc... i wouldnt be too concerned. Might be worth getting one of the other Birmingham lads to have a look with/for you to see what they think. Plus you may be able to knock £500 or so off as will need the charger serviced as you dont know when it was last done!
-
will you behave!!! your getting as bad as dinkus!!! Surely having 6 cylinders your trying to make up for something else your lacking?? afaik, whilst rover is not about any longer, the companies that actually made the parts for the cars still are so there are still easily repairable. and almost every garage will be able to service it so its really not as much of a problem as people think it is. I also think warranties are still valid, but not 100% how you get them sorted under it!!
-
lol, didnt notice that!!! think ill just take the shelf supports out!
-
cheers bud. That was exactly the problem i want to avoid!!! i do have 2 though hmmm.....

I have the Weitec Hicon TX coilovers on my car. Before i go take the parcel shelf supports out, are the rear dampers adjustable like the fronts? im sure Darren told me but i cant remember!!!
-
well now ive had a chance to get used to my suspension working thought id post!! Im running the Weitec Hicon 'TX' full adjustables courtesy of Darren. Have also found that just adjusting by 1/2 a turn can turn the car from having a nice 'sporty' feel to being a nice soft motorway muncher. and it doesnt even take a minute to do! I dont really have anything to compare the ride to as my old silverlines were shagged!

Welcome!! The buying guide is your first port of call.

welcome to the forum!! as Dec said the buying guide is your friend!!! as for deciding between a G60 and VR6 your gonna have to get behind the wheel of both and see which is for you!!! From experience, any questions at all just ask no matter how daft they might seem!!! Best of luck findinf the right 'rado! A G60 is what you want!!

Cheers for the input guys. yes she is the same age as me, well almost!!! she is looking for a 'little' car or i would be gently pushing her down the raddo route  i hadnt considered the clio, fiesta, Ka etc.. due to their plasticness, ill obviously still point them out to her as possibilities. completly forgot about the Skoda's, Honda's and Seat's!!! StuartFRZ400 - im not after a list of cars to take her to see so much as a reminder of cars ive forgotton to consider putting to her!
-
I have a friend who has just passed her test and has asked if ill help her look for a car, obviously im more than willing to help her! so far i have got out of her that it her budget is £4,500, it should be small and she doesnt want anything over 1.2. Obviously in the price range were not going to get anything new (and dont think id let her unless it was a decent spec 'offer' type with eligible free insurance) As she hasnt told me what cars she like the ones im currently thinking about taking her to look at are: Lupo Polo Fox (may not be to many used though!) Corsa New panda 107/C1/Aygo (again not convinced of 'used' availability but doesnt hurt to look!!) any other thoughts guys and girls? probably missed a couple of very obvious candidates!!

Ok guys, i have a Clifford Concept 300 with a shock sensor and remote start add on. Have had a few problems recently whereby when i arm the system it doesnt activate the central locking and full closure, also my remote start is now not working (not the end of the world at the mo) Also it has kept going off the last couple of days for no real reason!! first question, any ideas how i can get it all working again? i dont have the cliffnet wizard thing, if anyone local does and could lend a hand it would be most appreciated!! 2. any thoughts about why it might be going off alot at the mo? and 3rd, i took off the lower drivers side dash and found a green wire with a yellow plug hanging loose, should this be plugged into the back of the fuse box like all the others? if so where??

neither of your temps seem hot!! i think most Cs water temps tend to be around 100-110 in traffic. i think (big THINK!!) that the second stage of the fan cuts in at 110 degrees, might want to get your fan fixed!! mine tend to run between 70 and 90 on open roads doing going above 30mph. not sure the HG going will affect it, didnt when mine went. Im not convinced anything sounds wrong in a major way (its an old car, so you will almost always have some problems) but glad your getting it checked over. let us know how it goes.
-
get the thing checked dude!!! u seem very worried that something is wrong, id get it checked over to be on the safe side and to put your mind at rest!!! like i said my motor was running very full of oil and was being driving very hard for almost an hour, and all is ok. how do you mean it 'seems' to be over heating? what are your oil and water temps generally?

problem im gonna have with the IP cam is the distance between car and house!! it does start to take the piss a bit after so much, ive always had problems round the area with the 'bully' type kids when i was at school etc..and im sure its the same or a related group. think its coz they now know whos car it is. So damn annoying to of had my car walked over, my lupo wipers bent to buggery and have and probabaly half a dozen sets of dust caps nicked of which at least 2 were the more expensive 'locking' type. kinda saw the funny side the first ans second times but with the mileage i rack up and the state my wheels get into they are kinda needed where they should be not in some chavs pocket! do they not teach kids to respect other peoples property anymore?? or maybe im just like it after spending my life in scouts and learning a bit of respect for other people. how possible is it to run a live straight from the battery to the body work so when the bastids touch it they ground it and get a shock??? -

closet i can get it is about 300 yards away, and thats onl if another car hasnt parked there. alot of the time i have to park where the car cant be seen from the house too well. Cant park it outside the house as its double yellow lines, cant use the garage as that where my dads car lives, and the driveway is shared so i cant leave the car there. when the bastid walked across the top of the car the first thing the neighbours did was moan about my alarm going off!!! and i had to go apologise for it doing its job!! really helpful!! Jay - that does sound like a very good plan, any idea how much and where from? -

and now the dust caps!!! not anything major in the scheme of things, but still irritating none the less. should i be considering selling the C and getting something crap just so i dont get so annoyed when things happen to it?? -
How long were you running the engine for after you had over filled it? Mine was ran probably for best part of an hour and pretty fast (trying to catch mike_g60 and iow_corrado_g60) on the way to stealth in April. to give some idea of just how much oil was in there the level was about 1/2 way up the dipstick. (see here - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight= - for amusing anecdote!) Mine ran fine after it had the F1 stylee oil change, again best advice i can give if your at all worried is to get her checked over to put your mind at rest. I think the medical term is 'corradoparranoiaohmygodwhatsgoingtogowrongnext syndrome' think most of us have it but after a while you learn to live with it!

and i wouldnt of thought the timings of the games would of overly interferred with TG. might of had to be moved a bit but not take it off completely!! sometimes they dont take the non footballaholics into account!! dont get me wrong, ill be wathing as much of the football as i can, but would rather have top gear on too!
-
and now goalie pads, lapel pins, cardboard boxes, and crystal wine glasses!!! was suprised top gear is off for so long, especially when england arent playing on the sundays!
