  1. My Fuel gauge can be a bit tempremental, once it cut out when it was only just in the red, others the needle has been off the scale and still driving ok. mine can read 1/4 tank difference when i accelerate hard to when i brake hard, same applies for hills due to fuel movement Could just be 'innaccuarte' due to this sort of thing.
  2. Are you sure you are only 21?? Flat cap and carpet slippers!!![/quote:9b18b] LOL, the Gazebo and table were only in there while i returned them to my grandparents after i borrowed them for a BBQ, honest!! The chairs do pretty much live in the car tho....
  3. At the mo my list has to be: Jump Leads Tool kit Empty water bottles 2 x Folding Chairs Folding table Folidng Gazebo Rook Rack Waterproofs 2 Sets of petanque boule and associated stuff Think thats all of it!
  4. Forgot about this thread! For me it has to be the idiots who refuse to merge in turn, have found Hindhead southbound on the A3 to be the worst, nearly been run off the road twice recently, both times i had been signalling to merge. the first time a lorry decided to accelerate to stop me getting in and i ended up in the middle of a hatched area, the second time a BMW was in the quicker lane of traffic cam flying up and refused to let me in even though i was there first! To show my furstration i overtook said BMW at earleist opportunity at a failrly rapid rate and as i went past he gave the w@anker sign to me, then proceeded to follow me about a metre from my bumper. even when i slowed from 90 to my normal 60 cruise he didnt overtake and just sat there, i needed fuel badly but was a little worried he would follow if i pulled over! I find most drivers in rush hour tend to be pretty courteous (apart from lane hoggers) but some are complete idiots, do they not realise everyone else on the road is also trying to get home?
  5. looks like a good'un Daz! Ill be making trip down when finances allow!
  6. £574.74 from G-Werks (including 5orum discount!) well thats the price on the website anyway! Can give a good recommendation for the Weitecs. My old silverlines died very quick, to quote Darren 'They're completly shagged and are the worst ive ever seen' couldn't of been on the car for more than 18 months too. no oil left in them, and all the bump stops were cracked.
  7. My current kit consists of: Assorted fuses in door Suspension adjusting kit (windy things and C spanners) Standard toolkit Socket set Jump leads Alarm manual (safely hidden!!) Usually a bottle of water Waterproofs Folding chair Folding Table Petanque Boule! Think thats about it scattered around the car!
  8. I have no experience of the AVO's, but if your looking at around £550 for then i can deffinately recomend for the Weitecs! give g-man a call and see what he can sort out for ya
  9. Sounds like a good offer Darren, If the Weitec coilovers are anything to go by then these should be very good!
  10. a few people have done the second inlet mod. Just give Darren at G-werks a call and he will sort you out the boost return deletion kit.
  11. As the guys said, you wont get anything for it here, but the muppets on ebay are more gullible. After all its a disposal item that should be replaced as all the medical stuff expires!
  12. How on earth can they justify valuing the car at £1,280? There is nowhere you would find a G60 of that caliber for that little!!! Best bet would be to phone them and ask what they base that value on, as in the real world that is a ridiculous value, and your agreed value with your insurers is almost £4k higher!! Remind the claims people they they are working FOR YOU, andif they dont match the agreeed value your going to pull the plug, no costs paid etc.. and use your own insurance company.
  13. about an engine?? must...resist.....making....a....joke!!!
  14. Mileage isnt an iussue, but you would probabaly be best getting one thats had its timing chains replaced already, or you will need to about circa £1k to your budget. (having said that i dont own/have never owned a VR so may be corrected!!) Quite a few people have fitted aircon/climiate control and the like so you shouldt have any problems there! as for the Karmann badege on the interior, some ebay sellers claim it means it has the ultra rare Karmann interior so its worth more. In reality, the Corrado was made by Karmann so they have their badge in the inside. On the Storm variant this is replaced with a 'Storm' badge.
  15. Count me in!! just take your insurance companies number with you and should you win, ring them up!! problem could be that if its at a meet its likely you will have taken your own car so will have 2 to take home!! good excuse for all entered to bring along an interested mate i suppose!
  16. well that would have been about £370 worth of work but i didnt charge him that as he is a friend Considering the transformation the car got £370 would of been an absolute bargain!!! cue all the 'show and shine' guys making bookings!
  17. man thats one awesome cleaning job you do!! just out of curiosity, how much do you charge for your work? edit: just seen the website, looks cheap as chips for the end result!!!
  18. niiiiiiice..... will it be making an appearance at a future CF rolling road day???
  19. The few times ive gone to Peter Cooper they have been very helpful, one of the guys wasnt sure what part i meant so was happy for me to take him to the car and show him where it should be went straight back to ETKA and found it! Must admit the dealers do seem much more helpful in person than on the phone.
  20. as mike_g60 said, get yourself to Tesco North Harbour and fill her up with their 99ron rocket fuel!!! cheaper than optimax!!
  21. Darren is your man for a rebuild. Almost all the G60 guys and girls on here use him for chargers, dont think you will find anyone better.
  22. Cheers bud, ill have a look at that sometime next week as i plan to be severly intoxicated for the rest of the weekend!! also should of said, the indicators dont flash when i arm/disarm Car is my daily drive, only started having problems when i picked it up after having the suspension and brakes done about 8 weeks ago. The remote start just does nothing at all when i press the buttons. found out it was the proximity sensor, have unplugged it for now until i have time to make the bubble smaller. ill report back once ive had chance to look!
