  1. They list 20amp peak current draw anyway, mine runs a 20a fues. Maybe the colder temps are putting a little more strain on the pump?
  2. Looked into the plugs, decided to go with Denso Iridium IK24`s (2 grades colder then their sock fitment, but only 1 grade colder than an NGK 7 for some reason?) Gapping to 0.6mm and fitting on Monday along with engine breather mods, new valvcover+gasket etc. That`s if it doesn`t p1ss it down all day ..
  3. Haven`t had mine RR`d yet (still got some fettling to do), maybe in the next couple of weeks if I have the money..
  4. Hello mate, mines going great at the moment (toutch wood!). Getting it prepped for it`s first trackday as a 16vg60. SNS can get rid of the lag, it was terrible in mine as well.. There`s at least 4 or 5 16vG60`s on Megasquirt getting good results, worth a go. With a wideband tuning`s a piece of p1ss! When mine was warmed up and into closed loop on digi1 the idle sorted itself out (with the G60 greens), think it may have some trouble with the 510`s in at the moment.. On the MS it hot/cold starts perfectly great warmup and no flatspots.
  5. I bought a float switch kit from Farnells (they have a website), £5 or so I think? also there de-min water is £8 for 25l and free delivery!
  6. You`ll need 42lb injectors at least really if you use anything other than stock pulley, I had 350cc/mins static at 6500 rpm on my 1.8 16vG60 with the 78mm. I`m running Megasquirt now, partly due to the rich idle (never got it sorted), 42lb injectors at 4bar fuel pressure are nicely fueling mine on a 65mm pulley (1 bar boost).
  7. Well it`s down to the driver as well and I`m not the best . Should be a laugh!
  8. In the boot for me, with some good thick wiring to aviod voltage drop. The pump and a 4l resovior fits nicely in the offside poket behind the wheel arch.
  9. Cheers for the advise :D doing Donnington, been there a couple of times before so I sort of know the circuit. Span it at Redgate last time and sh1t myself so I won`t be doing that again in a hurry! Will keep an eye on the oil temps and I`ll be changing the oil beforehand, taking the laptop so hopefully I`ll be able to do some fine tuning while I`m there. Normall run 3 sessions/groups of 20 mins per hour, I normally take some optimax in jerry cans to top up with during the day, will check the wheel nuts! Can`t wait, hope I don`t blow the fecker up
  10. G/f`s booked me a trackday in December for christmas :) , first one I`ll have done with the G60 bolted on.. Car`s running great on a 65mm pulley and I`ve got the map just about spot on, but would be going back to a 78mm for track use be a good idea? To be honest the car won`t see above 6k rpm I would have thought, and the charger is a G-Werks rebuild 800 miles old so no worries there! What`s people`s experiences with G60`s and track driving? Cheers!

    RadWeld ?

I`d never let radweld anywhere near my engine. Rather try a self tapping screw and a fibre washer as a `get you home` bodge.
  12. Cheers for the info, there`s a Vauaxhall dealership not far from me so I`ll give then a ring for a price :)
  13. Cheers, so I can order one of those off the GSF website then?
  14. I honestly don`t know, it`s fooking leathal though, 2nd gear`s useless really. Trying to weigh up if it`s worth sticking with the 65 or going back to the 78, there`s 5 psi difference but I`ll have to find out what that equates to on the rollers, it`s touching 80% injector dc at full wack so I`ll be visiting the petrol station quite often.., idles like a dream still so it`s all good.
  15. Using Ford 42lb (dayglo green tops), running them at 4 bar fuel pressure at the moment to give approx 510cc/min.
  16. Cheers lads, if you can find me one I`ll buy it, bit of an odd size apparently?
  17. Looks great, could squeeze that into the Golf..
  18. Cheers Darren, got the injectors on Tuesday :D.
  19. Looked everywhere today and couldn`t find a 21mmx1315mm belt for my G60 setup, is there anywhere online I could order a belt from? Cheers :)
  20. Been looking about and people seem to run 1 to 2 grades colder when charging their engines, so mine would be an NGK 7 series stock, going up to an 8 series for 1 grade colder, but I cant find a fitment in this heat range? What`s other people running or recomend for my setup (16vKR-G60, 1 bar boost)? Would prefer NGK but I`m not too fussed, what`s the bosch stock plug for a KR and do they do 1 or 2 grade colder fitment?
  21. DDS 3 will fault monitor the sustem and can be rigged up to dump boost in the event of a WI failure. If you`re in digi1 you may not have the ability of map switching, so the car drops into `safe` map when the DDS3 tells it there`s a failure. I run a 1s on a 0.8mm jet and the water usage isn`t that bad really (4l reovoir), probably 1 tank of fuel per 4l water? I can`t see you hammering it constantly on boost, only while accelerating?
  22. I had Eibachs on the Golf, very good ride/ handeling.
  23. Can you get the toothed belt crank pulley machined down to fit a 16v bottom end? (think you take 6mm off the inside edge to compensate for the wider cambelt gear?).
  24. Yeh they`re not bad! I`d run the stock bosch lambda sensor as well rather than the emulated narrowband as there`s been a few issuses with the emulated signal and digi1 (not just Zeitronix, quite a few others). Works perfectly on the MS.
  25. I fitted a Magnex to my mk2 golf, it was a bit of a swine really but do-able (dropped subframe, took inlet mani off etc). I had the head of when it came out the 2nd time for wrapping and it was p1ss easy to fit then. It`s personal preference but I`d wrap it before fitting, make it less noisey in the cabin..
