yes that made up my mind thanks :D I had new discs and pads and cambelt done there, good price and all good work. Its in there this monday again for MOT work and possible replacement of the valve stem seals too, seem pretty good on price too do they actually do mot's :)

so...how does everyone else with a g60 manage to put 17" rims on theirs then if they are all 4 stud and they get hold of some nice 5 stud ones.....dont forget i'm a woman and although the engine holds no fear the wheels are another matter entirely!!

still dont know if i can get these to fit as i have 4 stud and they are 5....so have no idea what to do with them!

had the same problem a year ago had been driving around London..stopping and starting at every jucnction....spoiler was like a yo-yo didnt know when to stay up or go down..even when i was driving normlly with no stops or starts it was going up and down...thought it was knackered but after a cooling off it went back to normal..very strange!!

good..but have you got 4 or 5 stud originally and if 4 is there any rubbing/issues with arches etc mines a G60 and am getting some conflicting advice...I'd love to use these as they cost me nothing and are 100% better than the bbs's.... and if 4 stud then what spacers etc did you use??

OK...i'm a woman!!!! as the tyres are 205/40/17 does that mean the width is 8"? Athough the tyres are low profile it is possible the rims are actually 7.5".....on the inner of the rims it does say 7.5 ??17...any use???

according to hubby they are ET 32 if that means anything

Theyve not been on the car he bought them a few days ago they are off a Audi tt is there no way i can get them to fit at all????

Have just bought a Passat vr6 and got a set of 17" Ronal audi tt wheels and tyres thrown in as well as the ones on the car......need some advice as these have 205/40/17 tyres on and are 5 stud...if I buy spacers will i be able to fit them on my G60???? (4 stud) and if so will the size of them and/or size of tyres cause any problems...any help very much appreciated! :?

have had no reason to go yet.....but am going to give them a try do they do mot cos hubbys golf needs doing to get it back on road? Let me know

Raddo G60 on a bad day has 282000+ showing!!!!!!!.......but...when it decides its a good day and going to behave it shows 182000.....(knackered display...have to take photos when its a good day to prove mileage just in case i decide to sell!!!! But starts first time with no rattle or engine noise and runs sweet! Mk 2 golf 16v 228000 and still going strong on the original engine!! :)

I have the original receipt for my G60.....the first owner paid £14809.00 for it..but they added on another £1234.08 for ?car tax (import duty????? im not sure)....charged £80.87 for number plates/rustproofing/mudflaps...added £2192.07 for vat and another £100 for road tax so his total was £18416.02 Brand new from the stealers....he also traded in a 89 G plate raddo (poss valver with 25000 on it) and got £9805.90 trade in for it (wow thats a lot of depreciation for little over a year!!!......WONDER IF ITS STILL AROUND ANYONE OWN G54 8LEW?????????? So think he got a good deal apart from the trade in price!! :roll:
