I work in a coachbuilders so have access to the tools, just wondering if its worth doing or more trouble than its worth?

How difficult is it to remove the windows for a respray? the door glass is not a problem, but the front rear and rear side glasses will have to go. I think I read somewhere that its tricky to remove the front screen wthout breaking it, should try just taking the rubber trim off and leave the screen in place?

A bit of G3 compound would probably take that out. Gutted for you, but you are very lucky that it doesn't seem to have dented it though.

Seeing as it doesn't specify Corrado paint and I don't have any nice ones of mine, yet. Here are some of my Polo collection.

They look the same as my lock nuts, but I couldn't tell you for the life of me what make they are. We had a similar problem in work where we had to get the wheels of one of a limo to fit the new suspension but the nut lock key was missing, we ended up using a tool which was basically a reverse threaded socket which fitted over the end of the lock nut, using an air gun going anti-closkwise "tightened" the tool onto the lock nut and then in turn loosened the lock nut. took minutes to do in the end.

warranty will be from the original purchase date, not the last one you got! In theory, but the Bosch dealer I got mine from kept giving me a new warranty from the date of replacement. :lol:

PS, I'm with VR6, I keep thinking it says Chris killed my battery :oops:

Hee hee, that happened to me with My G40, I had a Bosch silver one, it kept giving up the ghost after 6 months to a year, I'm on my 5th free replacement :lol:

@ Jbob, excellent choice of colour :wink: Was going to post this to help you decide, bit late now though. Gives an idea of what the colour is like polished up though.

Mercedes 040 Black is a nice dark black.

Shouldn't the passat cable change box starter fit?

A point to note is that if you do top up the water level in cold weather such as this it is imperative that you take the car for a spin to charge the battery and therefore mix the acid and distilled water or else the water added can freeze cracking the case of the battery.

Smarts are pretty strong cars. Still wouldn't like to try either crash with myself inside :shock:

In the end of the day the Fiat coupe is based on the Tipo chassis, enough said.

To change the cambelt on a Fiat 20vT you have to take the engine out, thats why its so expensive.

I'm toying with the idea of giving my Corrado a new coat of paint over Christmas while the spray booth is empty. There is very little wrong with it, one or two wee stone chips and the likes, but a new coat of paint would do no harm after near 15 years. Its Aqua blue at the minute, my main question is if I do repaint it I'm planning on sticking with a blue, but should I stick with aqua blue or go for some other blue :? Whats the nicest blue for a Corrado :?:
