Yeah it was, but was replaced by a black one by the previous owner - I've kept it like that cos I think i prefer it. Also, I think the silver badges make the car look dated for some reason - but that's just my 2p. :)

Phil K I think you'll find my grill isn't colour coded - it's black with black badge :wink: Don't even get me started on the whole Storm badge issue Furk'z - us Storm owners are always getting victimised on here :( :wink:

No C's spotted this week, but did see a Rocco Storm on the M4 at Swindon this morning B*** BJO. Very nice.

Good one today, rolled up at ATS to get my Solitudes removed for refurbing and the manager there kept saying how much he loved the car - he said the usual that you don't see many about these days. He had a Civic Type R but said he'd love to own a Storm! Even commented on the number plate....then gave me a really good discount! :wink: I left feeling very contented.

Took my Solitudes off to be refurbed and replaced them with these mint wheels (from a golf VR) which I got from rocco-jocco. They'll only be on the car for a month or so but think they look pretty good for 15's! What d'ya reckon?

Yeah the red grill does look better debadged - however I'm not a fan of debadging a VW and think a black grill, black badge, with the red G60 badge is all you need IMO

The ride on that thing must be horrendous!

Bit disappointed bout the lack of C owners in Swindon - either there really are none or they're too ashamed to admit they live here :lol: It's hardly England's Utopia I must admit!!!

Saw a blue m-reg C on the A34 turning onto the M40 (Junction 10 Southbound) at 7.15am this morning. Was in a dump Laguna pool car and couldn't catch up to get a closer look!!

Cool, a few Bristol owners then. I'll wait and see if there's any more interest on this thread. If many people are going to be travelling to the GTI fest from Bristol/Bath/Chippenham on the M4/A419/A420 towards Oxford on the way to Santa Pod would be good to meet up on the Oxford Road beforehand and arrive in convoy - that way there'd be loads of C's parked together.

Just wondering if there are many C owners in the Swindon area on here? There used to be loads of C's around Swindon and haven't seen any for ages. :? Would be good to have a meet in this area sometime. Or maybe get a convoy up to the GTI festival? Trouble is, not many people detail where they're from in their avatar.

Well, well, well - got a call from AmD of all people today - they said they've spoken to Koni who will be sending them 2 new replacements shocks and they will replace them free of charge! :shock: :D Thats a turn-up for the books!! I said I'd had a rethink and wanted them to put some OE Bilsteins (which i'll supply) and i'd pay for the fitting of the rears. They're looking for my standard springs too to go back on! So watch this space, will probably be selling the konis (2 of which will be new) and the Eibachs. Bit apprehensive bout going back to standard ride but I've made my decision now (i think) - i'm sick of the rattles, clunking parcel shelf and speed bumps!! I fancy a summer of smooth cruising 8) Is it a good decision???? I think maybe I should get my flame suit on cos in the future I'll take some sh*t from you guys bout the 4 x 4 ride height!! :oops:

:shock: Just got a quote from Euro Car Parts - their OE Bilstein shocks will total £121 inc VAT! Apparently they are the same as the BOGE ones and were orginally used by VW? Not sure the ride with Eibach springs would be that good!

MoonlightVR Did you put Bilstein Gas ones on before you sold your C? How much are they? Kev, :lol: sounds good but they already have my address!! Supercharged Yeah stealer springs are best part of £200! Can I use my Eibachs with OEM dampers?

Hmmm, bit of a touchy subject! AmD forgot to return them with the car - I chased several times and they still didn't send them! Then I forgot about them! I mentioned that in the letter aswell! Advice to everyone, avoid AmD and GO TO STEALTH. AmD are obviously only interested in customers with R32's and RS4's!!
