cheers for your comments guys have got my cloth recaros now looks so much better than when it had the original grey ones and having a humped rear seat looks loads better too was a bit of a mission goin to get them though 3 hours there half an hour swapping them then 3 hours back! was worth it though

jekvr6 what colour is your back centre console bit mines grey but dunno what im goin to do yet because like sciroccotune says it looks fine as it is so dunno if i can be arsed having to get a bracket welded it

cheers and bought the de cat off someone on here had it fitted at rampant tuning next to the vw centre in kendal

then finally a couple of months back i got the paint sorted and had the rubbing strips taken off since then ive been going a bit mad and bought smoked/red rear lights, smoked side repeaters, a de cat pipe and had a stainless system put on and ive got a kr inlet cam waiting to be fitted anyways heres a load of pics plus some from today with it covered in snow which will hopefully stop soon as ive meant to be picking some cloth recaros tomorrow :D

then i got some coilovers ditched the crap rims and replaced the grill with an fk one certainly looking better but still needed the dent and paint sortin out

right as ive been sent home from work :) as its snowin like mad ive got time to get my gallery going, its my first vw an i love it its certainly the best car ive had anyways its a 2.0 16v it was standard when i got it and had only had one owner from new and only done 64k with full vw history, on the downside it had a dent in one of the wings an some paint chipped off the spoiler an a scratch on the passenger door. but i got it for £1700 so i aint complaining heres some pics of how it started out

didnt realise so many of us used to be rc racers i used to have losi xx and a losi xx4 used to go to the regionals an that but soon as i got drivin real cars i just packed it in oh plus racing used to be on a sunday an gettin up dead early with a stonkin hangover was no fun! oh an phil i have a optima mid was my first rc car its the only thing i have left kept it as a momento

i am about aquire a set of cloth recaros but my rear seat doesnt have the hump and the recaro one does i believe i need the metal braket that the hump bolts into but there welded in. was wondering if anyone else has done this an if they just cut the braket out an welded it into there car or got round this problem some other way?

he said he could try puttin another box on just after the cat but thats it without puttin the cat back on but i dont want to do that cos im liking the extra bit of go it has , an he aint mentioned baffles but i told him i wanted it quiet an he reckons its as quiet as he can get it!

how many silencers does a 2.0 16v stainless system have? any pics of one would be good the reason im asking is ive just had a custom stainless system fitted along with a de cat pipe and the noise it makes is unbearable an the bloke at the exhaust place reckons he cant make it much quieter without either puttin the cat back on or downsizing the bore but its only 2 1/4 as it is! and when i looked under the car i can only see one small silencer after the de cat and then the back box should it have more?

yeah mine has a nice burble to it an makes rally car poppin noises when goin down through the gears but i dont know if i can live with how load it is plus i dont wanna be seen as some chav boy racer cos im not! might get em to stick that extra box on see if it quietens down,on the up side the finish is good and it doesnt knock or bang cost me 250 for the system and to have it fitted

yeah sound advice about the car parks but last time it got a ding in the door was when some gimp at my work did it with a works van then didnt even have the balls to own up to it an come an say sorry to me im sure it was the lad out of the office that looks like smithers off the simpsons so i broke his neck an left him slumped in his office chair told the rest of the staff to leave him alone cos he was DEAD tired made me feel a whole lot better anyways!!

hi ive just treated my car to a lick of paint (due to a dent in the wing from previous owner and other little dings) and had the rubbing strips removed, im well pleased with how well it looks the only thing is i use my rado as my daily driver and am now ultra paranoid about leaving it anywhere and some chump putting a scratch or dent in the side of it am i just going to have to live with this paranoia (how do the rest of you cope?) or should i invent some sort of corrado zorb which inflates around my rado when its locked!!!

alright aposegil i wouldnt be doin the work myself as i dont really know what im doin so guess that kinda restricts me on what i could get done as i dont wanna be spendin much more than 2.5k, just tell me if im livin im dream world an ill give meself a maaaassssivvee slap then conjure up some cunning plan to get more money!!! :lol:

i picked mine up for 1700 quid L reg with one owner from new full vw history stored in a garage all its life an only 64000 on the clocks dont think the fella knew what he was sellin! its pretty much mint got a dent in one of the front wings but finally got my settlement money from me last car being rammed into on the motorway so should be back to tip top very soon :lol: this is my first vw an i fell in love with it as soon as i drove it

cheers for the advice flusted i actually work at a pvc window factory that sells drain pipe so think some might acidentally fall into my bag!! one other thing ive just got a polished inlet manifold will i have to replace any gaskets when i swap it?

hi i have a 2.0 16v rado and am about to get a k+n panel filter for it, i have seen on some peoples specs that they have one of these filters but also have a aluminium cold air intake and a modified air box can you buy these intakes or are they home made?, i take it the modified air box is just a case of drilling holes in the bottom of it? any advice is much appreciated
