yeah sorry i mistook what vwdubs was saying thought he was wanting to know if he could get rid of the bits which no doubt he could but he was wondering what to do, personally if it was my car and the damage was as little as you say i would keep it and repair it as your not going to get what its really worth when its classed as a write off but like you say you have family now so are thinking of getting rid so i would post the pics and see if you have any intrest in the car as a whole an if not keep it or break it

-

dont know why im sharing this with you all but ill start from the beggining in january my brother fell down his stairs at home and knocked himself out when he went to the hospital and had a scan it showed that he had a brain tumor but it wasnt any old brain tumor he only had it was one that had been there from birth called a dermoid cyst i think less than a hundred people worldwide have ever had a tumor like this and only a handfull of people with it in the exact place that my brother had it he came home in febuary after getting the all clear after having most of the dermoid removed but only managed to stay out of hospital for 3 days as the dermoid continued to grow with no cure(because its so rare) its just been a matter of seeing if he could fight it himself as chemo wouldnt work as the tumor consisted of healthy skin tissue it was just growing as skin would just in the wrong place and total removal was impossible finally on saturday after a long battle and countless operations with this dermoid he passed away so my message to everyone is dont ever take life for granted as you just dont know whats going to happen so to take my mind of things ive decided that im going to treat my car to a engine conversion andy at psi tuning is trying to source me one at the moment i can say that it is taking my mind off things, id also like to thank the forum as over the past months its been a nice escape to just sit and read your banter and find out things about the corrado that i didnt know so cheers you have all helped without even realising.
-
i live in kendal red corrado16v, think there is gonna be a north west meet on the 21st of this month at longlands near carnforth you should come
-
yeah wrynose and hardnott are the most steep an treachreous passes in the lakes i dont know if my c would make it due to pot holes and the general condition of the roads or id have to go at snail speed if i wanted my splitter to survive! was this an issue for you petermunns? oh and nice pics
-
right cheers didnt look like there was any oil in it so thats partly why i was so worried and dubsport did replace the dizzy as well an checked me oil level its alright ill have to give the engine a wipe clean then see if i can tell where its comin from
-
what about the oil that has escaped will i have to top it up or does it use oil from the engine? sorry if a really stupid question
-
cheers fella its just had a kr cam put in by dubsport so they must have set the timing and forgotten to put it back in the clowns !!
-
just noticed that my c's gearbox looks like it has a gromit or something missing from it as i can see a cog and oil has splatted up the side of the engine dont know if you can tell from the pic as i only took it on my phone please help as im quite worried and a numpty when it comes to engines
-
well got me car back now and have to say i thought dubsport were alright an the car feels much more lively now but they didnt have time to rolling road it because i needed it back so think i may take it to awesome to get that done then i can compare the two myself
-
na sorry fella dont have a clue an i was hopin that me new manifold was 50mm was only puttin it on cos it looks nicer than the standard one but now looks like it wont fit does anyone know what it will have come of as it has 14/11/89 stamped on it so cant have been a 2.0 16v
-
sorry to jump on here but i bought a polished 50mm inlet manifold ages ago an was gonna get it fitted this week but upon looking at it compared to mine which should be a 50mm one as it has the indents in it to clear the spark plugs and its a 93 16v the one i was gonna fit is bigger still could this be a 53mm one if so im buggered cos i only bought the top half thinkin it would go straight on
-
oops hadnt checked this thread for ages cos thought no one had replied plus ive been really busy so ive gone ahead an booked it in at dubsport hopefully they will do an alright job as most of you seem to prefere awesome anyways ill let ya know how i get on
-
in the not too distant future im finally gonna get my kr inlet cam fitted as i dont trust any local garages to do it plus i want it rolling roaded afterwards ive decided its gonna get done at one of the above as stealth is a bit too far away, anyone had any dealings with dubsport or awesome an what did you think?
-
right have had my kr cam fitted now and the car feels like a corrado should to me as it was a bit on the slow side in standard form, and finally got me seats wired in so here is some pics (sorry for the delay tom) also wired a amp in but have yet to make a false floor in the boot and finish my stealth shelf ill post some pics of that when its done but knowing me it will months off yet!
