yeah that wheel wax aint all that! i put three layers of wheel sealant and two layers of wheel wax on the polished dish of my borbets an wax em often, only had them on over summer an it aint protected em and i wash it every week which is why im gonna laquer em as cant be arsed cleaning two sets of polished rims all the time! and ive polished upto 3000 grade wet an dry now so the autosol should bring them up a treat cheers mk3 yeti on the tip think that sounds like a plan any idea whats best to de-grease them with after polishing? -

been an expensive month for me the rado went in to get its rear arches pulled as it was doing my nut in that they were still rubbing and didnt like driving the car with the coilovers set on hardest setting but i ended up getting the front arches rolled as well as they rubbed every now and then and also have my smoothed mirrors painted. when i dropped the car off at my mates work i told him to sort anything he thought needed doing, his boss ended up being off for a week so he ended up doing the arches and respraying both sides of the car plus the front bumper! i have always used the c as my daily car but after having this work done i couldnt bare to see it get scrapes and dinks on the sides from car parks etc so have bought arfur a mk2 8v gti to use as a daily took ages to find a clean straight example but eventually found this one near bristol bit of a trek but worth it after some of the sheds i did look at!! some pics for ya

i run 205/40/16 tyres on mine which in my opinion is not too much of a stretch and had the rear arches rolled but on really bad bumps it still rubbed even with the coilovers on hardest setting so have recently had the rear arches pulled and the fronts rolled and spaced out slightly but i have my car sat fairly low and do drive quite hard!! hope this helps neil.

again cheers for your comments people im well happy with how it looks at the mo couple of new additions a new exhaust which has made the car feel so much different as the old one was quite restrictive this one has made the power delivery a lot smoother although im still undecided about the back box being in view and bought blue joes ali washer bottle so got that fitted as the old one had gone all mankey inside anyways here is some pics

The Nugget - what to do with it if I go to Dubai
neil20vtc replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
hi andy if it was me and i could afford to keep the car as well as go away then i would do that as you have put some good work into that car and if it was me i would be gutted to see it go! only thing is if you went for option 4 and came back every so often and drove it would you be able to leave it behind then when its been fully restored? of course you could add air con to the list of things you would have done to it then ship it out to dubai!!! :D -
again cheers for ya comments guys, put three layers of wheel sealant and a layer of rim wax on the borbets today to try protect them from the elements and most of all brake dust, one of my neighbours came out an said he didnt like them as from a distance he thinks they look like dustbin lids!!!! cheeky git!! anyways here is some decent pics of the new wheels

i have a bam engine in my corrado running about 290 bhp had it done for a year now and not really had any problems(coilpacks) as kadvr6 said a lot of people say they are soul less but i find mine anything but that and think its great
-
£220 for the lot including fitting tyres!(not postage) said they did me a special deal didnt say why but i think its due to the fact they had them for so long and i missed having them for inters, all in with the tyres they cost me less than a new set would of done so made the wait worth while
-
cheers for ya nice comments and they had to be anthracite as thats what i liked about my last wheels i think i goes well with the aqua blue, im really happy with them especially as when they arrived the other day it was the first time i had ever laid eyes on them as bought them second hand and had them delivered straight to bjv , and that pic really doesnt do them justice ill get some decent ones when the weather eases up
