  1. I've had one fitted to my Corrado for nearly 8 years. I had the centre pipe blowing and after a quick phone call the following saturday it was in their workshop. They welded the affected part and also fitted new gromets. All free of charge
  2. I have my Skoda VRS and original Corrado VR6 on an Admiral Multi-Car policy. When I took my no-claims bonus off the Corrado they told me I could put more then 2 cars on it...................I told them the new Corrado was modified, they replied they do modded cars. I started lising the mods and got to the fifth item before she stopped me and said "I don't think we would cover that"   . Brentache now covers the beast and as quoted before, Brentache don't give agreed values; in fact you would find it very hard to get any insurance company to give an agreed value. Apparently they stopped because owners where delibrately writing off their cars to get the agreed value as they wouldn't be able to get the price on a sale :censored: which is why polices are increasing all the time. What I did with Brentache was send a full list of mods done to the car and also current photos. they told me that these would be put on file and should the car get written off the price of the items would be factored in to the settlement deal. Unfortunately I cannot tell you whether this is accurate as I don't fancy writing the car off just to find out
  3. Try these for the exhaust http://www.bristolexhausts.co.uk/. The system is guarentee'd for life; well as long as it is on the Corrado. My original had it done 8 yrs ago. Still sounds lovely and last year it started blowing, a quick phone call and at the folowing weekend I took it to them. While there they also replaced most of the rubber bungs. Cost nothing . You can buy a straight through system and then just put the cat on when it MOT time.
  4. You know what curiosity did £220 all in. Mike said that the finish is better than original. He takes them to Lepsons http://www.lepsons.com/ but through him they are cheaper than going direct.
  5.   I am so happy your world is now a better place
  6. I would just like to give a nod to Corrado owners in the Swindon / Bristol area. Recently I curbed an alloy and found the following company http://www.dentedpride.co.uk/. Fully mobile and repares at your preffered location (i.e house / place of work). Can and did my alloy in situ and then took 4 away for a full refurb. Excellant rates and a top job pictures below of the wheels
  7. I say as long as its maintained then mileage doesn't (sorry shouldn't matter). If the car has been owned by one or two people then even better. I wouldn't buy a high mileage, many owners as things could have been missed. As you will have read on this forum to be honest with you with our cars a low mileage car could give you the same problems as rubbers etc will still perish with age and technically quicker as they are not being lubed by non running of the car
  8. Black VR heading out of Swindon M660 ***, you turned into the retail place opposite sainsburys just before the A420. Didn't flash as I was in the VRS
  9. You bad lads, you cannot class that as a Corrado spot. :nono: :nono:You could have put down the classic green storm (badged) not storm (storm) you lot looked at in Coleford as he was not part of the day.......
  10. Kur2y is the gent that makes the uprated wiring loom but unfortunately he is away for 4 months. He intends to start doing them in July when back. Here is the link to his post. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=74542&start=0 You should be ok as the nights are getting shorter. To be honest his looms are worth the wait, just read the link
  11. Gave the car a quick clean ready for Coleford tomorrow. Only spent 3 hrs on her but she has come up well. Just need to do the wheels but watching the footy at the moment and touring cars being on ITV 4 hasn't helped matters
  12. Saw a normal RS for the first time yesterday on the A417. It looked lovely and the RS500 just looks so so mean. Yep if I was to leave VAG marquees then I would love to have one of them sat in the driveway.
  13. Same here gutted to hear the news your Corrado is no more. A blackberry aswell :( :( :( :( :( :( . Hope the insurance does you well and you can get back into a C soon. Will you go blackberry again. There are a few nice ones for sale at the mo and also a very good red VR6 in Wiltshire. A one family owner with only 90 odd thou on the clock. Hope the search goes well. Best of luck
  14. AAAHHHH target number 3    . Nice looker matey. I think the blackberry scrubs up so well
  15. Chip Foose all day long. Would love him to do my original but that is a very very long shot, unless someone on here would like to offer up my car to the show (i can't as I need to look suprised on reveal day  )
  16. I have spotted this one before it parks outside the pub there.Don't think they are on here. I drive passed it most days was going to stop and put a forum sticker on it
  17. Welcome. Can't see photos yet as I am in work but from the other comments it must look good :)
  18. Well done Jim. Welcome to multiple Corrado ownership its ace; at least yours are different colours :D
  19. Congrats. Looking as good as ever.  :luvlove:
  20. Thats ace....... If I had been in the VRT I would have waited for him to pull out on the overtake then just floored it leaving him on the outside with nothing to overtake :norty: :norty:
  21. Got exactly what you said and I've also come out on top by using known local shortcuts rather than trying to race - it does put a smile on your face :D Hurray.... I thought I was going mad. I have to admit thats the first time I have been in a car when a powerful car has overtaken me with such brute force. I felt my car being pushed by the air he was breaking into. Incredible sound
  22. It might take you a while to read this but I got my other loom. Now both Corrado's can see in the dark, cheers
  23. Sorry if I have confused people. I was just trying to explain that both cars had overtaken me and gone ton up +. I didn't once get to 3 figures and the look on their faces when I came out infront of them again was priceless. Must just be me.
  24. Agreed.................... Every year I hope F1 will get it back to the turbo days and lots of overtaking etc, every year I lose interest within minutes of seeing either a procession race or the front 2 or 3 building up 30+ second advantages within 10 laps. I will give it 2 more races :|
