my advise as quite a few have said by an alpine or save up for an alpine if you cant afford one i have installed kenwoods clarions pioneers sonys etc and i will be honest by saying they sound ok pretty good infact but not a touch on alpine even there sub £250 units are really good but the choice is yours

neil the box looks the part but just a question are your subs for ported free air or enclosed boxs? in other words how where they designed to work also do you know how to wire them up as if you have both pairs running plus to plus and minus to minus you wont hear them and with so much bass what are you running in the mid and tweeter range you will need some major power in that dept to get a good sound just wondering

jonny i currently run a small 10 incher in the boot in a space saver box not ported but on a 400w soundstream amp ( box is as wide as the single rear seat and angled the same as the rear seat shape and comes out as far as the just b4 the middle of the spare wheel cover then i have boston accoustics component 6's in the doors and tweeters in the dash and very rare boston acoustics 4x6's in the std rear locations running through passive x'overs via a 6 channel soundstream amp the head unit is a 2 year old alpine cd tuner with build in x overs and stuff cost over 3 years is prob £1500 it would not win any sound off's but the clarity is mega and as for the sub i can bounce a pound coin of the roof the best thing to do is to match as best you can the speakers and amps ill be honest 6x9's suck in a rear shelf (really there a mid range speaker)unless you can find a pair of alpine 6x9 subs i had some there free air and work mint in a shelf if you want to save space in the boot remember the std speaker set up and locations in a c was designed for a bit of radio not a pumping stereo system if you want big get professional door builds and get a box made for the boot with 6 jl 10w 6's and a 1500watt rocky fosgate amp 1 thing to remember if your in the market for amps there is a big difference between american and jap watts 50 american watts is equal to about 200 japan watts same goes for speakers its also worth putting dynamat behind the door speakers and around the rear speaker pods as this will help with reverbarations and keep the sound in your car not outside it like the corsa's and punto's at the local car park remember the louder it is out side your car the quiter it is inside hope this helps kel

quick one - will a v5 engine fit strait into a corrado?
vrmillerman replied to mistrall's topic in Engine Bay
hi mistrall given the option i would find a vr6 lump and get a turbo or a charger fitted i think that would be far better i hear you can get 400+ horses on a turboed vr6 that would give a new definition to torque steer in a c !!! not sure how hard that may hit your budget though.... just a thought :D kel -
Garage says I need a new coil pack at a masive cost ...
vrmillerman replied to Aus's topic in Engine Bay
i have the same problem my vr is running like its on 4 i have taken the coil pack off its real easy 4 bolts mines cracked for england a new one from gsf is 120 quid vw wanted 200 quid b4 the dreaded like you i have some more testing to do like the water test to fully isolate the faulty part unfortunatly i took some bad advise from a mate and was told a new cat will solve it so i brought a new cat £115 inc vat if you need one pm me and i will tell you where and also fitted a magnex cat back system (sweet and a piece of piss to fit and fits really well) but did not cure the ill sh1t happens i guess but hay the stainless looks real nice kel -
cheers rw1! iwill check the relays as i sometimes have a funny thing happen when i start the c she fires up and dies then i give a swift wack to the lower dash where the relays are and she fires up and stays running i have taken the coil pack off and found large cracks around the plugs for 1 and 6 i sealed then with so liquid rubber and she started up on all 6 nice then went out for a test drive and lasted for about a mile and a half then went back to running real rough like on 4 or less my girly has a sharan vr6 for the kids(as you do gotta be a vr) i was gonna try my coil pack on that to see what happens my thinking is if the sharan does the same its the coil pack i will let you know sat afternoon when i test this kel

thanks very much for your help on this one i dont know if its much help but i did not have the engine running when i got these codes so maby if i tell you whats happening it may help basicly i have a problem that sounded like it was not running on all 6 i asked a mate (whos head tech for peugeot) :( and he advised that it was the cat that had gone so trusting him i changed that and the zorst and lambda sensor and it was no different so seeing the light found this forum and joined the people who know i have taken off the coilpack and this had cracks around the plugs for 1and 6 so i sealed them with some liquid rubber and she fired up on all 6 and run nice for about 2 miles then the gremlin came back and i limped home i also have a sharan vr6 baby runabout for the wife should i hook up the coil pack from that and see if the c is a runner to isolate the problem or any other parts that you can think of any help would be cool kelly
