sorry to hear that mate. i can confirm what someone said earlier though - the 'witness' in his car is useless. his and his witness' evidence together, carry exactly the same weight as your evidence alone. can't remember the legal term, but it's true. PS. i'm sure i was walking through oxford that day. maybe i could just happen to stumble across this story on a public forum and come forward as a witness ;) -

Could have been a lot worse. That means that apart from a little bit of rust at the back (which is next job) I'll have a mechanically mint VR6 with black leather heated interior for a combined total of £3700. Thats including the 4 new tyres and Cat 1 alarm I've just fitted! good job mate. a tasty car for a good price. i reckon i'm pretty much level with you - i paid 3k and have spent a few hundred only. fingers crossed! :)

sorry, forgot to add.... i reckon really the induction should be heard under acceleration and the exhaust should be heard on the over-run. good combo if you ask me....

i had a golf vr with a miltek. very nice. not loud at all imo. quite subtle. but combines very nicely with the intake sound of a K&N 57i on full chat :)

absolutely mate - i do 40,000 miles a year and every one of them in the vr! love it. the 16v definately pulls stronger towards the top of the rev range than the 8v. it should all be spot on when you pick her up :)

i say de-cat for 364.9 days a year mate! its only gonna cost you a few quid to swap over once a year. and the benefits will definately be noticeable. kats definately sap power, and the huge standard vw especially so. as usual, just my opinion though :)

i reckon you should notice a difference mate. having the head skimmed etc should mean decent compression and therefore decent performance. i reckon it will feel fekin lovely mate :)

they certainly don't. the 16 seems to be ahead on power and torque all the way through. another myth busted wide open!!!!
