they're for 280mm golf vr6 discs mate. i'm sure when i bought the greenstuffs for the rado the only diff between them and the golf ones was the wear indicator? so shouldn't the mintex be similar?

6x9s in the standard parcel shelf will always make it sound a bit boomy i reckon. the material just isn't dense / hard enough for good sound reproduction imo. but i reckon amping the fronts will help loads. they're probably distorting like hell at the moment from trying to play loud with a low-strength signal from the head unit. under-amped speakers sound a hell of a lot worse than over-amped speakers. defo. until the over-amped speakers blow that is ;)

the bonus is, when it clears on the ocassions it still does it, it then feels like a fekin veyron compared to how it had been running :)

fraz_Vr6, probably nor related at all, but i had all sorts of problems with mine after running out of petrol now you mention it. it seemed to run on 5 cylinders or something. felt like about 40 bhp and didn't want to rev or anything. it did this on and off, then permanently for about 2 weeks! then i absolutely booted it one day and it cleared and revved its nuts off. it starts to do similar occasionally still, but if i just hammer it for a minute it clears wierd PS. i have changed coil pack, leads and plugs :(

its funny, i've got a set of golf vr6 pagid pads under the sink. i bought em a year ago for the golf and everyone said they were poo so i never used them!!! will they be the same as C vr6 ones??

i can honestly say that mine feel no better now than the absolutely knackered standard ones i just took off. may change to predator pads this week. that combo is supposed to be dusty but you actually stop ;)

can i just second severl comments above please? i just fitted grooved black diamonds and breenstuff all round. ABSOLUTELY NO DUST ABSOLUTELY NO BRAKES NOW EITHER ;)

yeah of course you dont want to run around with the temp at 140. not a good idea. i reckon these sound like a very good idea. wish i had the money, but i want a diff and FD!!

i'm sure the manual for a vr says don't worry until it reaches 140 or 150. my C runs much hotter than my golf vr6. maybe its something to do with under-bonnet design / size??? no idea really, just a thought.

hi mate, when you say all the electrics cut out, do you mean it just stops firing? on all cylinders? or what exactly?

air-con may need a recharge. mine was done for 70 squid according to the history which aint bad.

for the record, from the 9847 up to about 350 quids worth, all the alpine ones use pretty much the same internals. its mainly features and design that are different. they all sound excellent. i went for the 9847 as it has a 'real' turning volume knob, which i find so much easier to use when driving. i may sound mad, but never mind ;)

i forget what mine is, a 200 quid alpine. i got it from halfrauds with a free alpine ipod adaptor. very good - you control everything from the headunit so the ipod stays in the glovebox all the time. the head unit is excellent. 9847r i think

hey mate. bet you can't wait til monday then! quality. the max and norm buttons are air-con fella. you have air-con! same as mine. from what i remember, norm is just normal ;) and max is recirculate. so if there is sh*t being spread on the fields outside you put it on max and it doesn't draw outside air in. max also works best for demisting the windows i find. when i first got mine it kept misting the windows after i'd left the car parked. it turned out to be something to do with using the air-con on max. hope you enjoy ya new purchase mate :)
