triggermyson, don't worry, when i say warm i mean just not freezing. but point taken - that would be a right old pain in the creck. does the ecu have anything at all to do with those electrics, or are they just on a 'loop' from the battery??? is the ecu entirely engine-related?

morning. started my car this morning then went inside to get some warm water to de-ice the windscreen. everything ok. then got in to drive off and no interior fan, no wipers, no rear screen heater, but engine fine etc. fan was working before water on windscreen as i put it on to warm up the interior. have i got water in something at the back of the engine bay when i poured it down the windscreen??? i'm no mechanic, so forgive my dumbness....... is the 'thing' in the scuttle on the passenger side the ecu? i noticed the end cap / cover isn't fixed right and the interior wiring is exposed. would this getting wet have any effect on electrics such as fan, screen heater, wipers etc. or is it something else that i've soaked? ta very much for your help as usual guys.

i think 5k may be a bit high at the moment. 100k mile examples are going for peanuts right now, so even with the mileage, i reckon today it would sell for 4 to 4.5 at the most. chrishill is right - i think it will go back up after the winter to much higher levels. we seem to be in a bit of a rado recession - good time to buy!

woody, i'm probably going for exactly the same combination. is the ride really harsh? i tried a c with the highsports and it was like rock! i take it the koni shocks give a better quality ride?

bcstudent, dramatic effect mate. it just cleared all of a sudden. now this is gonna sound strange, but i'm sure i felt my steering get a bit lighter at the same time, as if a bit more assistance had arrived??? coil pack Supercharged,

after a week solid of apparently running on 5 cylinders my vr is now back on the full compliment of 6. can anyone explain this???........ could have sworn it was a spark problem - did the plugs, leads and coil pack. nothing. was beggining to think it must be a fekked cylinder oiling up the spark plug. was contemplating new engine. then today i had to absolutely rag the arse off it joining the m25 (slight error of judgement) and all of a sudden....... BANG..... we're off on all 6 again. it's now running better than since i've had it! WTF????? any ideas anyone? someone mentioned it could be a 'sticky ring'?? (oi oi)

feels like its definately running on 5 or so. not the full compliment. have changed sparkies, leads and coil pack. it was intermitant, bad one day good the next, or bad for an hour then ok. now it sucks eggs all the time. my mate put his strange strobe type thingy on it and it showed up an intermitant spark on no. 6 (i remind you i know nothing, so terminology is not up to much) i'll do a 9.99 bucket - you can whistle for the full 12.99.......

saw 2 black rados in worthing today (G60 and ???) - neither of the miserable gits returned my greetings. my advice - get a vauxhall guys - you don't love your rados enough (them, not you lot!)
