  1. Good call.... I'd have thought 2 alaram on 1 car would be bad anywax because they're bound to conflict at some point, or at least dry your battery up in double quick time....
  2. I reember doing this exact same thing on my first car and it sounding a bit rubbish. Then again it's all down to the headunit and mine was about 10 years old and looked on it's last legs at the time..... Remember.... bootsales are your friend when it comes to cheap car audio. It's amazing what people will rip out to replace.
  3. Nothing wrong with a little luxury in your sports coupe ;)
  4. Depends on the Rado..... Some might not make it round I'm sure. Half way round we'd pull over to adjust something, or tinker with the timing a little...

This could go on a while..... but..... 4x4 must be planning to use it pickup one child from a school on a daily basis and bug the hell out of every single person on the road... Wait, that's nothing to do with insurance... but it sure does feel good to vent that anger. At least that's what my therapist always says as he backs into the corner for protection

That's like saying your car has airbags he must be looking to crash at high speed into a wall ??? Insurance companies and logical shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.... EDIT: Perhaps if you tell them it's made of plastic and painted just for effect they'd let you off the bill. Lighter as well....
  7. Don't they all..... Quite alot mine says to me "Pull over you need to check something in the engine now" That seems to be the only thing it says though.... no good for finding the M25
  8. Ok while it was in the garage for my cam I got the guys to clean out the ISV (I've got no time right now). Started first time when I picked it up.... then again I thought it might have just been stil warm. So went for a drive and no idling problems. Stop and started a few times at people houses as I did the rounds and worked wonderfully. Thanks for the hints on this.... much appreciated.
  9. Please stop this madness.... you're making me want leather
  10. Wow, it's like a parrallel universe were people are actually nice O.o; Wish this happened to me when people did it to my car....
  11. Ouchy...... Looks like onto of the January bill at G-Werks I'll have to add £100 for petrol as well :x
  12. Just as a guideline..... I had some rust done on mine last week, and a half spray on the car.... that set me back £450 after haggling. Not sure how far your £100 is going to get you. Good luck though...
  13. Nobody spots mine.... because it's always in the damned shop getting fixed
  14. Merry Christmas Darren..... see you in Jan for a little tweaking I hope.... :x-mas:
  15. Interesting to know.... do you need seperate ones for dipped and main beam ?
  16. I just hope it's not a Dukes of hazzard style horn.... saw that on a Merc at the weekend and almost wet myself laughing.
  17. Thanks for the help there guys.... as soon as I can get the car and some daylight I'll give those things a try.
  18. Not at the moment... don't seem to have the car for long in daylight to take pictures ;) I'll try and get some tomorrow night if I can.....
  19. Ok just measured mine.... Rear - 340mm from hub to arch, 630mm from floor to arch Front - 315mm from hub to arch, 580mm from floor to arch Something is definetly wrong as this was meant to be a 40mm drop all round. Looks like he sold me 65mm front instead of the 40mm... so has to go back. 65mm ground clearence at the front just isn't enough for me (moving to Austria with all the nice snow)
  20. That's advanced level chav.... It's a 2 year college course (which you bunk off obviously) to get to that sort of level.
  21. At this point it might be worth mentioning that I know less about engines than the average girl... ;) ISV I can check though... can you expand on the other points ?
  22. Ok ever since I've got it back from the bodyshop and it sat doing nothing for 2 weeks, starting the cars been a little flaky... The bodyshop basically ran the battery down totally, but that was fine as I needed a new one. So on Saturday got a new Varfis (I think) battery that was uprated from the one in the car. Fitted and seemed fine.... However whenever I start the car it turns over and starts, then a second later just dies again.... Usually it's fine on the second try, but today it took 4 times to get it to turn over. When it starts to cut out, if you apply slight gas it just cuts out quicker like it's overfueling. Also I'm getting an irregular idle which might be connected. It idles fine, then drops to a level where it's almost going to stall, then recovers. This only takes about 2/3 seconds, but happens on and off. Finally I've always had the problem of the revs raising without me putting my foot on the accelerator. When at lights it sometimes clicks up to 2000 revs a few times then goes back to normal... I know I need to replace the knock sensor as mines damaged, but any other thoughts on what might be causing this strange behaviour ? It's in for a cambelt/tensioners/PAS belt tomorrow so might be a good time to get this sorted if I can find what it is.....
  23. Turning happens to me... but when driving is not a good thing at all
