-
Mine already have double airbags
-
Just out of curiosity, is it possible to fit a Golf 4 R32 steering wheel with airbag in a Corrado VR6 with original airbags in it?, anyone done anything like this?

This stuff is doing it's thing, and also seem to be quite long lasting, also sustain rain quite well: Owatrol's Polytrol http://www.owatrol.com/products/Polytrol_pi.pdf Used it on mye Passat GT VR6 (the ones with the big plastic surroundings) with great success...:)

yea it can, but I think it mostly caused by the tentioners being bad, making the chain come a bit more "loose" and then snap because of that.....:)

I would want to disconnect some of the powersteering lines to get the radiator support beam off the car, is it any problems emptying the powersteering system, and leave it empty?, or should it be clamped off?.....ie does the pump get rusty etc if it's left empty?.

Is it possible to take down rear axel without removing brake
Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in Drivetrain
yea, most likely have to be removed as it's going in to be blasted/painted etc...:) -
hehe, not sure, just see that's the brand arz-tuning have on their site...:)

Anyone got experience with ball joints etc branded "Moog" ?, much difference from the original VAG parts? Maybe also comments on "Corteco" bushings.
-
Can I get down the rear axel without removing brake lines?, seem like some of them are fastened to a bracket on the axel itselfe?,. Also is the ABS sensor connected on the outside, or do I have to disconnect it inside, under the seats?. thnx

hmm, he found them in the parts program, but when he was trying to put in an order it said discontinued, however I'm a bit unsure if some have trouble using these order systems, if anyone is in a stealership in the uk one day, maybe one could ask to check ?......:), would be nice to get it original, but maybe febi is much the same quality?.... -

ok, thnx, dis you happen to get the rubber "bearings" that fit on the parts I marked with red circles on your pic new?.....I was at a local stealership today, and they said it was discontinued, so if anyone know if it's still possible to get them new, it would be greatly appreciated. -

hmmm, maybe I should hold off on the blasting of the engine?, was thinking of closing all open areas and vacume/blow it with air afterwards, before opening anything, byt might not be a good idea?. Do you have any pics from before, during and after the burshes/coating ? -
Going to take of my break calipers on the Corrado VR6, and don't want to leave the system empty of break fluid (supposedly not so good for some of the breaking components, starting to rust etc), and I have a 1.8 Passat 35i parts car hanging around here, so was wondering if anyone knows if the hose connector on the break calipers are the same on these cars?, or is the hole bigger on the VR6? (No I'm not gone drive around this those calipers...lol...;) )

Finaly got the engine out, now it's only the rest left.....hehe.........how is the best way to blast the engine, and any special places that should be "covered" up. As the engine sits now it still got quite a bit of bits and pieces on it, is it best to remove as much as possible before blasting or?. Cheers! -
