Corrado VR6 and Passat VR6 break pads - is it the same?
Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in Drivetrain
hmmm, mine is a 92 but shouldn't those be the same? (the 94-97 is only a "facelift" AFAIK) -
As I have wore out my rear brake pads on my 35i Passat GT VR6 I was wondering if anyone know if these as the same on the Corrado VR6? (As the Corrado still is in a "buildup" face of it's life I though't I'd put the pads over on the Passat).....if they fit that is. thnx for any info!

Powdercoating - Color is called "Black Chrome", haven't seen it yet, but I think it's a bit "darker" in real life though....;) -

Is there much benefits in getting the injectors cleaned (VR6
Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
yea, atleast here in Norway....:) But think I might skip it as I would be a long way onto getting a new set of injectors at that price....;) -
I presume they are NOT legal, as normaly the reflector will bounce the light to the other side of the road, then u want it to.....

Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in Engine Bay
hmm, ok........the car was running quite ok, although a bit hard to start at times (seem that I had to turn the ignition switch from start to finnish in one "motion", and not stop when the ignition comes on before taking it to "start")..... @bruny: the "project" is coming along slovely, just finnished blasting the drivetrain parts a few weeks ago, now it's sanded down, and sendt off for powdercoating. Might go pick them up on monday, so *might* start assembly of the drivetrain again this week, but haven't started on the engine yet....;) I guess it will be next summer before I register it for road use, if I'm lucky I get to drive it later this summer on some temporary signs...:) -
Have anyone gotten theyr injector cleaned, and is it worth it?. My car have done roughly 120 000 km (75000 miles), and I'm going to do tha chain/top. And I'm wondering if it's worth shelling out roughly £200 on getting the injectors cleaned....;)
-
ok, thnx for the info, not sure what they'r called but I think they look nice, although not sure I'v seen them on a Corrado though....:( You might be right about the offset, I don't think the guy selling em know for sure....

Anyone happen to know if the cleaner is the same as Turtlewax Engine clean?. I could only find CD2 engine detailer on turtlewax's website. Also if you know of any sites selling this package online please to tell about it...;)

Anyone know if these borbet's would fit a Corrado VR6 without spacers etc? Info: 9" at the rear and 7,5" front 16" Et 35 thnx
-
Ok, thnx for the offer, I will check localy and see if I can find some similar........might get back to you on that offer though.....;)
-
hmmm, ok, any idea about the name of the paint? (in Norway myself, so no halfords here...;) )
-
I bet it did, so was it on a "spray-can" or did you paint it on with a brush?
-
what paint did you use, and did you prime it? Asking as I'm soon to paint my own block...;)
-
Will do, will take some time though, as the old girl is in pieces at the moment......lol....:) (powdercoating the drivetrain, and doing chain/head etc)..;)
-
hehe, well I wasn't realy after "that soft", more of maybe a bit softer then the supersport thingy (realy wasn't *that* bad either), but as the Corrado won't be my daily, it's not a problem. I settled for the V1's though......hopefully will be satisfied with em...;)
-
How did that set work (CD2)?. Only thing I can find on the web is the CD-2 engine detailer, can't seem to find the cleaner, is that the same as the Turtlewax engine cleaner or ?. And do you just spray it on, and leave it, and then hose it off or?.
-
Yea, I was asking if the stock ones are soft....;)
-
hehe, yea, the supersport was on it when I bought it....;) So is it very soft with stock? cheers!
-
hmm, ok, maybe should consider the stock then, as right now it's on supersport, and for me that's way to harsh ride.
