Anyone got a pic on how the inner bushings on the swaybar
Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in Drivetrain
Still would like a picture though as I'm starting to wonder if the wishbones are on the correct side (is the place you connect the sway bar supposed to point up or down?. For me it seems like it should turn down? (so that the locking plate for the end-joint of the wishbone can rest properly on top of the wishbone). ? -

Also any tips on what the best way to put those rubber bushings on ? (the whole subframe is out from the car).....do they have to come in from the siden or what? -
Anyone got any pics of the subframe with the swaybar installed?, maybe a closeup of how the rubber bushings sits when installed?
-
yea have been thinking of the wise grip thingy (I presume it's the same as mole grips?), but was a bit unsure if that would be good enough to hold the fluid inside.....:)
-
Any idea where one would get these "blockers"? It's not to keep the fluid, it's more to keep the brake "central/reservoar" from starting to rust inside, if it's left empty for some time I think it will....:( The fluid is going out in the end, as I will replace all the brake lines...;)
-
I'm going to get my brake calipers refurbished and want to keep the brake fluid in the system until I get them back, anyone got any tips on what I could use to block the brake lines keeping them from draining out? (I'm going to cut the lines as I'm going to redo all the lines etc)....
-
May I ask where you get the stuff you need for doing the brake lines they way you have done them? What parts and where to get them from ? (as I'v been thinking of this myselfe, but wasn't sure if it was possible, I have to do all my brake lines anyway....)
-
hehe, yea Norway :) Where is that scampi/chips thingy (you mean the "wagons" that sells from the street or like a restaurant)? What work do you do, traveling here? There are some rados here, but far and few between (actually a guy having a nice g60 at the parking space around my apartment - it's sadly been sitting there for over 1 year...:( ) (Might try to get hold of it when my VR6 is ready/finished (I guess they never realy are finished...:) )

Welcome back - Guess I wasn't here back then, but have looked at the thread about the other project earlier on, so looking forward to following this one...:)

Anyone able to check the VW part number - stearing joint
Mawrick replied to Mawrick's topic in Suppliers Forum
ahh, ok, thnx guys!...:) btw are they supposed to just be screwed on without having a nut to "lock" them ? (as mine doesn't seem to have a locking nut), and a guy I spoke with thought they originaly would come with only one of the rods being adjustable (mine seem that both are adjustable). -

That's what I fear, as all the other parts I got also was for Corrado's with other engines then the VR6. Any idea about the correct part for the VR6? -
Anyone know the part number for the stearing joints for a 1995 VR6? I got some from the dealer but I'm unsure if they are correct, they have the numbers: 191 419 811 (left) 191 419 812 (right) Are they supposed to be correct?. Also on my car it doesn't seem there is any "counter locking nut" (one to thighten this joint after it's aligned), is it just supposed to be screwed directly on without any nut being screwed the oposit way?
-
Ok, thnx I presume you got to get the ones for Mk4 VR6 ? And the same brake disc etc will still be used?
-
Anyone know if this kit would just bolt on standard VR6 Corrado: http://www.fourseasontuning.com/?product=500 Also is it worth it?, or should I just get the old ones refurbished? Also can I only do the rear ones and keep the standard front ones?, and is it the same hoses on these as the standard ones? (already ordered some braided ones)...
-
Just thought I'd write it here: The front bushes from R32 can NOT be used on the wishbone....;) Only the rear ones..
-
hmmm, I bought them from the stealers but at the vortex they say the front ones won't fit? Anyone actually fitted the front R32 bushings?? Also, what way are they supposed to be (beiing a u-shaped thingy).
-
That would be fab!...;)
-
yea, would be nice with some info's about em, thanks!...;)
-
Awesome ride!...:) Any info on how those R32 seats where fitted?. Cheers!
-
Does this mean I should look into upgrading my brakes anyway or?. (I'm about to get the standard brakes refurbished).....
-
Can't help you with prices etc, but I'm sure you would be able to do the suspension yourselfe (it should be taken to a shop afterwards to get them aligned anyway, but would guess that would be cheaper then doing the re-fitting yourselfe). It's realy only loosening a couple of bolts and put in the new coilovers....:)
-
Anyone have a picture of what way the rubber bushings on the front cross "beam", the one that holds the front engine mount is mounted? I'm very afraid I put them on backwords.......not looking forward to taking em of/on again....:(
-
Are those calipers a direct fit to the standard Vr6 axel ? And is it the same for front brakes? Any idea about the part number(s) and what price?. Reason for asking is that I'm doing pretty much same as you at the moment, and I was thinking of sending mine to bigredd to get the overhauled and have polymer coating on em......

Anyone got experience with Hartmann and jetex?. How is Jetex btw?, I see there is a completely different prices on the Jetex ones....
