  1. I have heard various things about plugs and the VR6, one thing is that the BKR-5-EKU (as stated above) is your best bet. Have heard about people having problems, and turned out to be the plugs, even the platinum things I'v heard bad things about when it comes to the VR6. (Reason for saying "heard" is that I haven't got any personal experience with other plugs then the BKR-5-EKU, but I was asking around when I first got my first VR6 and that was generally the answers I got)...... There might be other people who have different experience with em though...;)
  2. ok, thnx guys. I bought it from a SKF importer localy, the price would be much the same as VW quoted, but the guy at VW wasn't sure if it was SKF or not, so went for the other option (I had roughly 25% discount on it so turned out much the same as VW price anyway...:) )
  3. Anyone know if the "uprated" metal (mk4?) head gaskets are available directly from Volkswagen?, or is it only made by 3'rd party suppliers?. If available, what would be the VW number for the correct one? thnx
  4. Anyone know if the rear axel is the same as the ones used on a 1988-1994 1.8 Passat ?. (reason for wondering is that I'm going to powdercoat it, and thought about taking the rear axel of my "parts" car passat). Not sure if it's the same though...
  5. As I'm going to change out some bushings (rear beam/top struts etc), I was wondering if the Brand Corteco is considered to be an "OEM " brand og VW, if not who makes the bushings etc for VW? (for the Corrado)
  6. Ok, not realy in a rush, and going thru all this powdercoating of all the drivetrain etc I think I'l go for the colored ones then...;) thnx
  7. What would you guys reccomend of the 2 options on the goodrich ones: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ ... tlgrp=R004 (the stainless hoses, or the colored ones, I presume the colored ones are plane "rubber" hoses or?)
  8. Any of you guys got any experience dealing with demontweeks?. Also anyone have any experience with this brake line kit: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ ... D0504-3CBK
  9. da****, you guys got it simple..... *IF* we would get it road legal it would have to go thru checks and a local VW dealer would have to confirm that the car is buildt according to certan things - it would still be difficult as the Corrado wasn't delivered with more output then the VR6. After that you would also have to pay huge taxes on the added HP (roughly £100 per HP I think).
  10. Was just wondering when you guys f.ex go turbo on the VR6, is the car still regarded as "road legal", if not, is it easy to get it "road legal" in the U.K with this changes?. Reason for wondering is that it's hard to get such "permits" here....:(
  11. @supercharged Any chance you work at g-werks or? Just thought I'd ask :)
  12. Not sure if it helps, but some guy with a jetta VR6 did a guide here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1276409
  13. Those where definatly the ones I was thinking of, thnx. Thought it was for the OEM fans, but that's just bad memory. I'l have to check this thing out...;)
  14. A while ago I saw a aluminium (atleast looked that way) "surrounding" for the VR6 fans, anyone happen to have seen it, and know where I could get more info about it. Want to change out the plastic surroundings, as many of the clips broke when taking it off, but got quoted roughly £120 at VW.....
  15. ok, thnx for the info, sounds good...;) Any pics of the ones you got done btw?
  16. Anyone happen to know what the SKF number for the wheelbearings for the VR6 is?
  17. Do you guys know if any of the VW dealers in U.K will send parts overseas?.......as here in Norway it's only one line of dealers, and they realy do know what they want for the sh****....:(
  18. Anyone used Biggred and know what it would cost (roughly) to do 4 calipers? Also will they take the carriers as well?. And roughly how long do they use for this kind of job?
  19. Is it only the rear one that should be replaced with R32/TT bushings, and keep the front one the same?
  20. btw, you sure it's not these 2: 191 407 181 (D) (rear) 357 407 182 (front) (seem to me it's sold "loose" from the arm itselfe).....
  21. Cr***, I think mine was taken out while powdercoating, you sure you can't get these new? http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/167165.aspx It seems like you can on these ........ EDIT: Also seem like this guy have been replacing the fron bushings with TT bushings: http://www.passatworld.com/forums/showt ... p?t=247908
