Cheers gents - didnt want something with a body kit on, and didnt really want a french (was always going to stay german imho, was looking at the alfa 156 2.5 v6, but couldnt bring myself to buy one, So went with the MK3 Highline VR 96(N) -102,000 miles FSH VW and independants, no rust, heated leather works, tyres and brakes in vgc, was very impressed with the level of care by last owner, hardly any wear on drivers bolster, is totally standard, including air box and exhaust, its a 5Dr Black LC9Z - and I paid just under 2k for it, will post some pics up soon, feels quicker than my (95 3Dr) maybe its just because havent driven it for a while although i think that might of been OBD1 where this OBD2  Im happy so need to get her cleaned up then will show you some pics

Hi all a question for you, If there is a mobile camera on the side of the road in one of there many locations; If you were over taking slower moving vehicles on a dual carriage way; can the camera asses your speed if the slower cars on your left are between you and the camera? e.g in the direct line of site? or does the car have to be in full view? Any help much apprecited? Cheers

Defo the right stats gents here's the email I recieved there website is mentioned in it! I went to them as they re-mapped my mates mk4 GTTDI to 210 from 150 and he was over the moon and still is 2 years later, I totally agree with what your saying about DMS, but where are they located Karl??? Andrew Thank you for your enquiry with Celtic Tuning. As one of the UK's leading turbo diesel tuning companies we can provide for all your electronic and mechanical tuning requirements. The benefit of choosing Celtic Tuning over the majority of UK tuners is that we actually write and develop all of our own software in house; this enables us to provide a genuine custom tuning service for all applications and uses. The 3.0d engines we can take from 184bhp up to 244bhp and from 288lbft torque up to 344lbft torque giving a very impressive performance gain and all within safe design tolerance of the engine and drive train components. Reviews of some of our remaps are located here if you should wish to browse: http://www.celtictuning.co.uk/testimonials.aspx All of our software has been developed using a Dastek 750 rolling road. This ensures performance accuracy, reliability and also that your vehicle is MOT compliant for emissions testing. You can expect to see a 2-5mpg fuel economy improvement once remapped but it is dependent on your driving style, drive accordingly and you will see the gains. The cost of the remap is £313 all inclusive for which we travel to your location whether it is home or work place. This comes with a 14 day money back guarantee which gives you plenty of time to ensure it is exactly what you are after. -

That'd be the one1!! to clear up a few bits as I have been doing a bit of digging myself in the last 10 days, re-mapping i've found a company that will re-map to 246bhp and 490n/m torque thats not to be sniffed at all for £312.00 and as for the sound the 330d has a lovely low V6 grumble no mods as yet! -

Hi all, This topic has really come on since I last left I took the plunge and went for the 330d didn’t really want the 320d although the more sensible option I’m sure It’s an early e46 330d SE Touring(2000 x-reg) 17" Alloys Full Grey Leather Climate Control Cruise Control Fully Functional Steering Wheel Electric Mirrors Electric Windows On Board Computer Warning triangle First Aid Kit Dog Guard Hidden in rear seat Rear Luggage Straps Etc,Etc I’ll show the pics in a minute. The Driving Its great I’ve been getting 35mpg when wielding the right foot and 39 when driving normally. It handles very well for an estate and makes me feel like im not overly driving an estate how ever if you do plant it round a corner the traction control does step in ferociously but is very calming and should keep me out of trouble 3rd and 4th Gear are exceptional and 5th is all about the cruising power from 45mph all the way up, I chickened out at a fair lick the other day, The car itself is very comfortable and like my e36 the arm rest is the best positioned of any car ive ever driven( small things hey) Problems/Issues It has a few issues but I brought at a very competitive price so with that in mind one of the rear parking sensors is playing up and so too the central locking which I now think I have a fix for, then there’s a bit of bodywork to sort and a new air con belt but other than that I cant fault it. -

Cheers Kip, I've done a bit of investigating the auto box seems to be one area of concern, but i've only been looking for a manual, also theres a plastic inlet manifold swirl flap, apparently it can break of an wreck the engine, and what you said about brake discs, the 330d eats them according to various sources, I'm going to see one tomorrow so will let you know how i get on its hopeful got all the nice little elctrical touches you mentioned it has leather and multi function steering wheel, Thanks again Andy -
Hi all, I've looked at two E46 - 330D now both SE touring models one in slightly better nick higher mileage one less mileage a few more chips and scrapes. Both alloys etc and cloth interior but I know nothing about them and I havent test drove only switch on engine cheeked electric PAS etc? So any thoughts/comments much appreciated, Also the lower mileage one has been chipped. They both early E46's 2000 and 2001 Cheers Andy[flash=]

If you think the Corrado is difficult to work on....
iow_corrado_g60 replied to was8v's topic in General Car Chat
You think the Cis hard to work i think the out right winner is the fiat coupe 20v turbo. -
Strange i always thought there was a knock sensor on the g60 and if it was knocking badly it would retard the ECU?

I merit what everyone is saying however a tuned G60 which i have owned 2 of now, if you buy it like I did to drive and put ur toe down when you can it wont be economical in the slightest, but it all depends how you drive it and to what level of tuning you take it too, but they are awesome cars if money was no object I would not of got rid, they do cost a little to maintain but certainly no more than a new car also if you buy a highly maintained one, it certainly will be reliable the 8v lump is as strong as an ox! heres a pic of my white and aqua, Buy one!!!

Nice one mate would like to see your thoughts on tuning as ive heard alot about the MK4 are you going for massive power or a manageable amount? Stock engine internals on the mk4 are good for 400hp arent they,
