  1. Hi guys just after some advice/thoughts I just sold my g60 on saturday to a forum member so thats good, and this is the first time im really not sure what i want, I have a budget of £2500. I want to ideally get a bike but by the time ive done my test insured and wont have too much too spend on a newish bike, then there is the space issue - i think how ever much id like to convince myself i dont............... I do need a car. So the i already have a bit for insurance as the policy on the g60 was just re-newed, So I want a reliable car, has to have good looks, still a bit of power, defo be a drivers car, but mpg 28+, under a 100k with FSH? for under £2500 any ideas, ive got the afternoon off so going to look at one tonight but i will let u know how I fair later, any ideas/thoughts? Cheers Andy
  2. i thought the DC2 was the really new one? i think you should sell the corrado sell the house and in return buy a flat and the new Skyline  that was an insane time round the top gear track and think of the tuning possibilities
  3. yeah but youve still got to take it off the car so you may as well not waste the extra money mate if you have some knowledge with a spanner then yu can defo do it get some penetrant spray if your worried a bout bolts seizing and away you go! im rubbish with cars but the charger was one of the easiest jobs ive done on the G

  5. alexander i can promise you, you will be abke to take the supercharger off yourself ready for post tahe the air box off and the right hand side boost pipe to give yourself a bit off room then get the allen key out and set to work there way even be a wiki on the forum for removal of charger or i remember a matey matey guide somewhere will try find it for you, but i can promise its not as hard as it looks,
  6. bill how are you mate is that from mivw i heard you done well
  7. as bilcor says its very hard and pretty pointless either go for a refurb and get them sprayed or you get them polished then you'll have to be out there every weekend with your belgom.
  8. i didnt look at in great depth but im sure our tax is still going up to £245 or something
  9. Guys ive seen a car I want cat.c ive done all the research and done all the things i need to do e.g arrange VIC check done hpi check told insurance also checked the reg with insurance and vic and hpi got oil and water etc so when i see it saturday if i want to buy it i can so just wondering if anyone has any experiences of them as the car has not mot,tax or V5 - vosa have told me when it was written off by insurance and its a reputable breaker so just after any advice really guys Cheers Andy
  10. i have to say that the Z3 M is a nice nice car and strangely dont laugh my first thought it reminded me a bit of the jensen interceptor not in a bad way! but like alot of you said they have held there money so well and some getting on for 9 years old now and still pulling 15-18k thats insane saying they were out the box they were £36k Kev back to the m3 most of the reviews ive read are quite positive, but ill lay my hands down on this one and say I havent driven one and that you are alot more experienced in the technical side of things (tandino - the part you write about the rust that was one of the main worries my friend had) cheers Andy
  11. Hi guys a mate off mine just brought one of the earlier M3's 286bhp 3ltr job looks lovely the styling is spot on, loving the rear wheel drive too also they claim a 6sec flat dash so impressive for a car that size! anyone had any experiences of these! Cheers Andy (hopefully ill get a ride soon)
  12. ive decided still going to go ahead with the cbt and go for a cbr 125! all in should cost me just shy of £2k which isnt too bad considering. will update soon
  13. WELL DONE THAT MAN! very impressive
  14. mic its the all in package of the cbr thats doing it for me - probably most reliable bike on the market, 4stroke instead of two, cheap insurance unlike a £500,CBT only costs £95 instead of £550 for direct access and the cbr will do 70-80mpg if ridden well and also it looks damm good! then got the G to go uber fast in!
  15. cheers for that reply uve summed it up perfectly for communting it will be great as my commute is only 8miles and means im garanteed a parking space at work then with the petrol it will save me no ends over the G i just done a insurance quote and £269 commuting is not bad i dont think for first bike etc! only £40 road tax i believe, as for the bikes the rs125 with 30 odd bhp is the one i want there just so damm sexy but ive been looking at the cbr 125 4-stroke and they just seem bullet proof so head over heart it will be that anyday and both about £1500 for a decent one which is my limit! so yeah end of july i hopoe to have a little 125! and my G for weekends the good thing is that I can also go down and see my old man on the bike as can go A-roads the whole way there as he lives on the isle of wight and with a bike its cheaper on the ferry too! going on to your other comments about the risk thats al;l thats been stoipping me before to be honest but I think a reasonably sporty 125 is a good compromise!
  16. I might get some stick for this I might not, and i know theres a few ppl on the forum with bikes so i would like to start picking your brain, because of petrol and where i work its very hard for me to get parked on a daily basis at my work(limited number of spaces) But as many bikes can park up pretty much so I want to go the way of CBT then test not direct access, I have my CBT on 27th July, and I really fancy buying a 125 aprilia, as i want it to look good and have a bit of grunt also I couldnt have a scooter I would get too much stick from the lads so what does everyone think? Cheers Andy
