Yeah I just managed to source a new set of rims(don`t ask--yet :wink: ) I`m going for the Newish Yokohama Prada`s £260 for a set of 4 delivered in 215/40/17. Had them on a G60(in that size) years ago and had no real problems,slight rub on full lock but nothing dramatic. 8) Oh yeah the car was lowered about 40mm. :)

Top Gear is an entertainment show,it caters for people who like cars and want to be entertained. If you want to sit for an hour watching road tests it`s not for you.How boring would it be if all you got was road test after road test and what would you want tested :?: Group tests of family cars ,4x4,superminis,executive cars supercars god the list could go on and on.People would tune in at the beginning realise it was about best tow cars and switch off :!: I think Top Gear has a happy medium and is getting better and better. As they say "You can please some of the people some of the time" :) Is it just me or are the studio audiences getting bigger and bigger(and I don`t mean fat :!: :!: )

Remove the rear wiper arm and motor and stick a grommet in the hole. Free to do and cleans up the rear screen a treat 8) ( well it doesn`t ,because you don`t have a wiper to clean the screen,if you know what I mean :lol:,but it does look cool 8) )

Hi mate according to my MKIV handbook this is how to unblock the radio "Turn on the radio and the word safe will appear. 1000 will appear in the display after a 3 seconds. If however Safe is still showing and a small 2 is in the left of the display,the radio is blocked! The radio must be left switched on for one hour to lift this block. Input the code number using the station buttons.Use button 1 to input the first digit,button 2 to input the second and so on. then press either the search or the manual setting rocker switch for longer than 2 seconds.Release button! A frequency will be shown automatically shortly after the correct code has been input. Hopefully this will work for you. This is straight from the handbook so it should be right enough !!!

As everyone has said if it has been looked after the mileage won`t matter. Go by your instincts check the paperwork receipts etc etc. If it doesnt feel right walk away there are plenty more 8)

We`ve got a MKIV Golf GTI with lowered suspension big wheels all the toys and it seems to get more attention than the Corrado :shock: It seems to be more recognisable to people as a Golf GTI so it must be fast :!: Wheras the Corrado still seems to get the "nice Scirocco" looks from the uninitiated :!:

Tried another 3 Halfuds today no joy. They did have the Megs claybar kits at £12 though

:twisted: Apparently I have horns growing out of my head,or it appeared that way to the genius working in the local Halfuds.After searching the shelves for the aforementioned socket sets(a blind man could see there were none on shelves!!!)I thought perhaps they had them in back shop. I approached said genius and asked if they had any. Boy blunder then walked to the shelves looked at them and said no.I described the offer etc to which the genius said Naw we only have these @ £159.99. I get this problem too.Turn the ignition key and the light comes on,start up and it goes off as it should.As soon as the car starts moving then the light comes on,if the weather is dry it tends not to come on.Wet weather or damp conditions it comes on,possibly the idea of trying the contacts may be worth a try.As soon as it stops raining--------about June I think :D :)
