Neglected VR*Update(I think it's a dead 'un...)*
gaz the geezer replied to Blown's topic in General Car Chat
save it mate, i would find it hard to just leave it there to rot tbh :thumbleft: -
:) i had a matrix go on my 16v golf and i nearly had a nasty accident !!!, apart from the nasty antifreeze smell and misting uo of the windows, the carpet had got waterlogged quite quickly and the combination of wet trainers on smooth pedal rubbers was alarming as i went to brake and found my foot slipping off the brake pedal  , nowt happened fortunately but it was damn close ......... it would be nice if someone had come up with a stainless steel one that came as a fit and forget thing making all this matrix nonsense a thing of the past ............ (starts to think ) maybe someone has already :-P

it`s still a good idea to get it sorted anyhow, so dont feel like you`ve wasted your time, the good thing about doing this sort of job is not having to experience the disaster / agony of having it go pop just when you need it the least 8)
-
 it all started with replacing the rear axle bushes and it all sort of got out of control from there  , on top of that, i`ve a midnight blue vr6 that will require a bit of work and that is for the missus to mooch about in :thumbleft: , it should be a nice drive over from where you are up to the `smoke`, i travel in and out of london quite a bit myself with work, anyhoo, as your probaly aware, stealth come highly recommended so i`m sure you`ll enjoy the drive back even more after it`s been fiddled with 8)
-
 , love it

-
hello White2505, looks like you`ve been a bit busy just lately :) , you know it will be all worth it when she`s all sorted, i`ve a mountain to climb myself but i`m not downhearted ......... just trying to find time to crack on and get it done, it would be nice to see a few more pics when you get the time mate :thumbleft:

hello moneypit23, it certainly sounds that it could be either or both, if you or any family member / friend dont fancy having a stab then someone on here may well be able to inform you of a `friendly` garage that may be close to you, if you lived a bit closer i would have taken a look myself :reindeer:
