30, pay about £800 on H-YYU with full no-claims and no points with her in a garage, with a CAT1 AND a tracking device... ...but that does allow me to do anything I want to the car upto 300BHP with unlimited milage and is guaranteed for a £9K payout in the event of a total loss.... 8)

*works about 200 yards from a tram track and a toucan crossing* [/smug]

eep... I'd never thought of it like that Sam... 1940cc giving 250ish BHP = 129BHP/Litre   Can't wait to see what she's doing when I get her all back together again!
-
Locked due to there being about 4 other threads about this...
-
you can use one from a G60, 16V or 8V, but NOT a VR6 as they have different front suspension setups.... try Venom Motorsport ( linky! ) as they do some reasonable cheap suspension kits... 8)
-
if you're going to start the car, drive it for at least 30 minutes to get it up to temperature properly and to recharge the battery.

ask Jay Renshaw... AFAIK his is a 4 motion engine... ;)
-
bristolbaron, I'm not sure mate... go to http://www.scotford.com , get the phone number and ask 'em as they used to be the sole UK importers for Borbet... ;)
-
Exactly the same here mate... passed it first time back then... 8) Hell, even the "minor points" system hadn't been introduced when I passed mine... Never done the theory test until today and just got 34 right... 8) :-P :chuffed:

could also be the shield on the back of the disk which has either got something jammed in it, or has been knocked and is catching on the disk... there's also a heat shield over the drivers side inner CV joint... if you've been in mud/snow, this can get crud stuck in it and will make nasty noises as the crud rubs on the CV joint...

the G60 uses 4 stud wheels and disks, ALL VR6 engine cars use 5 stud wheels/disks...
-
on early cars, heated leather was an extra cost to just standard leather (which was still shed loads more than just standard cloth... ) Pretty certain that continued onto the later cars too, although I thought all storms had heated leather as standard... :|
-
oh... am I thinking about the G60 one then?
-
the later rear bumper is also around 1cm wider where it meets the wheel arches (1cm per side) due to the later cars having slightly more flared wheel arches...
-
Contact Stealth... they do a kit (around £125 IIRC) which includes all the correct bits you'll need for the VR6 (unlike some other suppliers  )... 8) It's DEFINATELY worth fitting an external oil cooler to ANY performance VW IMHO... 8)

stone in between the disk and the wheel/ disk and caliper or you've worn your brake pads out completely down to the metal... Get the brakes checked out and I think you'll find your answer... ;)
-
for £12.50 I'd flippin make it fit!
-
the light itself has a timed relay in it... ;)
-
both side windows are bonded and the rubber seal is classed as part of the window by VAG so can't be bought seperately... damage the seal, you need a complete new window... :| The windscreen is bonded too, only the rear window and the door windows are easily removable...
-
a quick google search brings up THIS link to a site in scotland who will mail order the parts you need if you give 'em a call... 8)
-
speak to Darren at G-Werks to confirm, but I'm pretty certain that it's MKIII TDI shells I put in my G60 when I re-did them last time, and mine uses the standard G60 crank... 8)
-
they're the shells... GSF and ECP both sell 'em at a reasonable cost, although I'd be tempted to use MKIII TDI ones (IIRC) which are uprated... ;)
-
they're ASTRALI locking wheel nuts... ;)
-
did you get the correct spiggot rings with the wheels? They're a small (usually plastic) spacer which sits inside the mounting face of the wheel making sure that the wheel is perfectly centered on the hub... If it's missing, or the wrong one, you'll get a bad vibration as the wheel spins off-center... :|

for that kinda money, isn't it worth going MKIV/V golf and adding an LSD to one of the factory 6 speed boxes? I know it's then a bit of arsing about with mounts and driveshafts, but surely it's gotta be cheaper than £3K?!?
