Thank you Mike Edwards, I will be trying again tomorrow. http://welsh-wizard.net/images/corrado/RIMG0865.JPG Is that one of the screws you are talking about slackening?
-
Does anyone have a (or know of a ) piccie of the dash with the cosmetic fascia off so I can see if I have a defect? The whole dial cluster seems to be set back 1/2 inch. (sorry for trying to explain it so many ways) :?
-
Mike Edwards, , Flexing my dash is not the solution. There seems to be 1/2 spacer missing.
-
With no solution, I have put it back together and will take it to a garage tomorrow.
-
The difference is only at one end of the cable.. ..one version has a hook fitting, and the other ....doesn't. The other end of both cables are identical.
-
Is there a strip of something that should sit between the cluster and the panel that fits in front, or does everyone else's fit snugly?
-
I have added more pictures now (865 & 881) Does this help diagnose my problem? As you can see in 881, the facia sits correctly, but the dials are miles out of sync ! Everything works, I just think I should be able to get it to sit right too.
-
Is there a knack to re-aligning them as they seem very firmly fitted? ... as does the plastic frame I have taken off.
-
I have uploaded 3 images for you to view and troubleshoot for me. 1 What is the "Floating" insulated terminal? (858) 2 What is the "Floating" red terminal? (859) 3 Why is the dash not quite fitting perfectly? Is there an adjustment I can make? (860) ...youll find the images here: http://www.welsh-wizard.net/images/corrado Smarties for the winner :D TIA

Lat weekend, Vince had to adjust my throttle cable to achieve >90 degrees. My local mechanic assures me that car can aquire full throttle with the new cable fitted. Can he know that without VAGCOM?
-
still not convinced, and buzz still intermitently there.
-
Nothing was wrong other than it was very stiff. Vince at Stealth recommended the change and it is now MUCH softer - loverly.
-
I just paid £70 fitted - stealing gits  ..and yes, they did have to take their first one back cost of cable : £35+VAT
-
How much should one of these cost me? - fitted please (roughly)

Good news and bad news. Good news : I have split the video into 5 cuts, chronologically labelled. Bad News : The cars are not downloadable individually, so the file sizes are a little large for 56k (12-17MB) Uploading this evening - will post URL when they are ready. -

Videos are not ready yet - sorry. What would be a reasonable size file per car for ppl to download do you think? What format is preferred - .avi? .mpg? I will compress to the best quality for that size file then. -

Yes, the webcam DID include sound...but I think cutting the whole video into individual car sections may take me a little while. One thing I should say is that the image quality isn't fantastic as there was some interference from the sheer volume of sound, and I am not sure who's car was who's ! The number plates will not be distinguishable so I will label the cars by "Car 1", "Car 2" etc...you will have to find your own car I'm afraid. (but I'll label them in the order they went on the rollers) URL will follow (hopefully) tomorrow. -
Thanks all for coming and making a good day. Anyone surprised at anything they saw on the day? I will be hosting video (only taken with webcam) of all of the cars that went on the rollers after I arrived. I will give you the link as soon as I have prepared and uploaded it. Long may she reign. M8 - have a looka and make a fair offer... ...go with the backup of other printoffs of Cs from Autotrader to show him what they are worth... ...one the other hand, I remember someone saying on here that they are worth what someone will pay for them... ...how true.
