http://www.syclone.freeserve.co.uk/rivals_cars.htm Search for Corrado to find a better 0-60 time.

The VR, Cos is someone offered me a corrado for free, it you be knackered i bet, and i'd take the VR and strip it, selling the parts to make money, to make my G60 go even faster How predictable, but that wasn't the point was it?
-
Maybe this should be a fun "solo" thread.
-
How about if someone offered you either a G60 or a VR6 for nothing, which would you take? (Obviously, similar conditions, with pros and cons for each car etc..)

They squealed on new, hot tarmac both times. I should mention, I don't drive the car hard as I am one of those people who likes things the way they are. But, as we all know, the car handles fairly well so I was disapointed when I heared the noise. Incidentally, they are unbeatable wet tyres, and as I live in Wales, they are handy.

I had 4-wheel alignment done at the same time as 4 F1s fitted. Should I get the tracking checked over again perhaps? He did say I could go back to have a free check.
-
Why does my car squeal when I go round a bend reasonably quickly? I have brand new F1 tyres on her, and I have checked the tyre pressures. (Incidentally, the few times this has happened, I am turning to the right)

The ipaq arrived today, and I wanted to use my Road Angel to avoid buying another GPS receiver. btw... the tomtom software IS a camera alerter, but it does NOT detect the "mobile" camers. The Road Angel does. :D

Hi again - hope you are all well. Have I done the right thing? I bought an HP ipaq h4150 PDA to accompany my Road Angel, in order to have TomTom software running to give me full, voiced satellite navigation. Has anyone else got any evidence to prove that this will be a good as I think ?! Also, I discovered that my road angel is the 4800 bps not the 9600 bps one. Blackspot say that it is not a problem to update the firmware, but does anyone know if I can do it myself?

get a VR6 - beautiful and effortless power.

"Humming" noise doing my head in now - can't stop noticing it. I need more convincing that it is the water pump - it comes on after driving a short while, and stays on until engine is cold... ...to check if it is still "buzzing", all I need do is turn my key to "lights on dash" position, then off it goes, buzzing away like a bee! Please convince me it is not too serious :? ps. water level unmoved

Just had 3 lovely new tyres fitted to my car, and asked the garage to do 4 wheel tracking whils I was there. They found the tracking to be MILES out, hence the uneven tyre wear on my old set. PROBLEM: They could not adjust the tracking due to seized nuts - they showed me! The mechanic said that he would have to use heat to move the nuts which would damage the "ball joint". New track-rod-ends - £30/side fitted. Does this seem reasonable to everyone else please?

I just got home with 4 Goodyear Eagle f1 tyres on my C. £300 supplied and fitted. Feels like I bought a new car - picking to rain apparently, I didn't notice the wet conditions. Thx for advice.
-
Is it possible to get a more "modern" looking key for my rado? ...and surely I can improve the looks of the damn alarm fob !?
-
update: went for a run in the car this afternoon - "hum" returns again. I take it the water pump that was suggested is the annoying bugger ?
-
would the light handling and the slight drifting 'round corners be something to do with that balding Nankang Ex500 tyres that have been on the car for a year or so ? off to get 4 Bridgestone Potenza RE720s for £232.00 tomorrow - delivered ! :-P
-
Which tyres are recommended for my Vr6 fronts. Both seem knackered, and I would like some advice on replacement from you guys in the know. :D
-
...turned on my ignition (not started the car) this morning, only to find no "hum" at all again ! is this normal because the engine is cold?
-
Any reason why my VR6 pulls off a straight line at full throttle?.. ..and at high speeds seems "light" in the steering department? I have read a thread somewhere on the www about this prob but can't find it again to find what the fix is. Tyre pressures are good.
-
I should add that it is the last thing I hear "shutting off" when I switch the engine off. Like a fan slowing to a stop.
-
lol - sorry, it was the best photo I had of the area. Hope it was OK to use it :? ... http://www.welsh-wizard.net/StealthRR/ so, noisy water pump it is you think - cheers.
-
I have, but all I know is where the noise is coming from ! I can't even name the part - that round socket-type thing with lots if wires coming from it. Attached is a piccie of where the sound seems to be coming from mostly.
