I'm just about to take in a 57 plate Landcruiser Amazon with 14k on the clock. My customer paid £50 shy of 49k less than a year ago. Our buyer only offered £18k for it!! To get the deal I had to ring a few Toyota dealers and managed to find one up North who offered £22,750. That was the best offer we got. As for some of our commercial vehicles....we're having to take up to 5k a time hit on some of the S.I.V's. It's embarrassing telling customers what their vehicles are worth.

Hello mate, It was going well! How are you? On both occasions, the vehicle was driven for about a mile before the light started flashing. A quick top up of water eradicated it initially but then it came on later that day. I stopped briefly when it came on for the second time, but it didn't come on again when I restarted the engine. Then, about 7 miles later, when I was just about in my drive, it started flashing again.

Hi all, I haven't used the corrado for a couple of months but having brushed the cobwebs off last week, I'm now faced with a few faults. 1. The Spoiler has remained up after my first journey out and won't go back down manually or as it should 2. The sunroof has stopped working all together. 3. The water light signal started flashing, I topped it up and it stopped flashing. However, it has come back on again but the water level is just under the maximum level. Forgive me - I don't know the first thing about mechanics etc, but does the sunroof and spoiler share the same relay or something, or is it just coincidence that they've both stopped working at the same time. Any help would be great. Alternatively, if there is anyone local with a good understanding and wants to make a few quid trying to rectify these problems, let me know. Cheers, Nick

If the vehicle was registered before a certain year then they had to be limited as well as vehicles travelling in Europe from the 1st Jan 2007. I will check for definate tomorrow as I'm pretty certain that this is the case. You watch - I'll be totally wrong........ and I'm supposed to be selling vehicles between 3.5t - 44t vehicles!!! :oops:

Are you sure? As far as I was aware, that is only the case if the vehicle is driving in Europe. I was under the impression that as of 01.01.08, everything over 3.5t had to then have a speed limiter setting of 90kph. I still don't understand why it's been limited to 76!!!

Probably wrong but it sounds like a 35S12 3300??? Why is it limited to 76 anyway?

Iveco put a 180bhp engine in some of the 3.5t vehicles! You have to set the speed buzzer to stop yourself going over 100mph! The trouble is, if you're in one of the longer wheelbases and you overtake a truck or something overtakes you, the whole vehicle pulls to the side. Quite worrying at times!!

Which Iveco Daily is it? Is it over 3.5t or do you tow? Are you sure it's a 2.5 and not a 2.3? It's normally a case of plugging a computer in and changing the speed limiter. Takes about 5 mins to do but if you go to a dealer, they charge half an hours labour to do it.

They said exactly that. If Idon't use them within two years, they will be cancelled. I've got a company car so it means I've got to keep my Corrado to keep my NCB! I've never looked at my Corrado as something that saves money, but I will now!

As i'm yet to recieve my No Claims proof from Tescos, my new broker (Lancaster) have sent me a letter saying that my scheme has been converted to Scheme Intro Discount. I called them today to find out about this and they have said that my actual insurer (Zenith Classic) have classed the car as a.....Classic and that they don't always need proof of NCB. This will not effect my premium because (I can't remember her exact terminology) I drive a 'Classic' car, and because of this, I'm deemed as a better driver!!!! No wonder it's £20 a month cheaper than my previous Insurer (and they were the cheapest I could find at the time)!

Peter Cooper do a motivate / annual service for £99 or £199 I believe. I rang around a few places for a friend who needs to service his MK4 GTI and Peter Cooper were the cheapest out of the people I called!!! I didn't expect a VW dealership to be cheaper than independent garages!

All sorted - or will be. Bought three new bowden cables from VW which will arrive and be fitted tomorrow. I'm even getting the new matrix fitted by VW for free! The independent garage that first replaced it, tryed to get a new matrix from the VW garage they bought it from - under warranty. Apparently under VW guidelines, if a part is replaced under warranty, they have to carry out the repair themselves. It didn't make sense to me nor the garage but neither of us mind - VW are unnecessarily paying for the work to be carried out by themselves! The garage is happy about it and so am I!

Yes - the car has been fitted with an after market Diavia system. All three cables are different lengths which is understandable but what they're saying is, the cable that connects to the 'defroster' could be one of two lengths depending on what length of cable is already in the car. They cant tell me why its a different length and what length my car has??
