  1. are you doing a full swap, door cards etc? Just thinking it's probably best when I retrim my interior is to swap it first with someone that has cloth as they just take the old leather off... The sound / acoustics change quite alot from cloth to leather. Shes getting the love!
  2. Just putting in an MDF floor in the boot, made a template in 3 sections and will re do it once its spot on. Speakers will be mounted to new pods and found some nice stainless screws to use and hopefully if im not too busy today I can get them wired up. Thinking a metal coat hanger will help feed wiring through door grommits?? Is there an easier way?
  3. Glad it's helped some people out.

I'm just about to wire mine in today hopefully, they are the same make but different model. I've actually modified speaker pods available in 6.5 inch if your interested? Can send you a picture later on. One is covered and the other isn't. But remade from original pods so they don't stick out so much like the audioscope. For later model C with elec window switches in pods. New replacement speakers will be a definate improvement but if you can go larger, amped up will sound even better and clearer. Most say, good set of components, woofer and job done.
  5. They are Phillips ultra bright bought from Halfords with a wiring upgrade bud
  6. LOL, no all is well. Even the scratch my girlfriend did to the bonnet with her hand bag has been polished goodbye! Cheers guys for the comments. some more pics to follow soon
  7. Shes back! Just swirved into Asda to take a few pics on the way home. Going to spend some time tomorrow fitting the speaker wiring etc for the comps and to try and get the door cards fitted etc. Happy to have her back looking smart and sinkage free and rust free!
  8. I was in the same situation, my callipers were fine, not sticking, hand brake was good but as I was refurbing the that area and picked up second hand cheap callipers from ebay - ok, they needed blasting and painting but supposed to be more reliable in winter months due to the alloy material. You then need different hoses for the conversion on the rear - venom motor sport sell the conversion kit. So its up to you if you want to change. Always good to use the braided hoses for a more positive bite on the pedal. If you do get the callipers, you can always sell your old ones on especially if i good order, thats what I will be doing.
  9. Hi I have a pair of (rear standard VR6 calliper) Goodridge braided hoses, only few months old. Recently removed when I did the MK4 rears if of interest?
  10. If I can offer any advise, if you are having sections rubbed back to metal and others not on a panel. particulary on the bonnet you may later see sinkage marks under certain light later on. I'm saying this as my car has just been re done for the 3rd time. When I picked her up she looked amazing, faultless so it always takes time for things to settle and then you can see how good the job was. This may already be old news for you but thought you may benefit from my problems. Rams
  11. Good work buddy, It's a great feeling when you change a part and feel the difference
  12. Arrived today in the post? Happy days
  13. Some lovely watches - Do like classic and Modern designs, can appreciate both. One of the only purchases I made where my parents didn't question why I spent quite a bit of money. Bought an Omega Sea Master Professional Planet Ocean. Feel naked with it off now!
  14. Super read, well done chaps. This is customer service at its best
  15. The Bmth cops are hot at the moment.... I got a fine for the spacing on my plate, pulled over, thankfully driving sensibly as just started the car - phew as they appeared from out of the blue, literally! They said to me it's incase this car was stolen, '' you dont see many of these now that are mint and as there is no spamp on the bottom and illegal spacing they could be fabricated plates''. He then went on how he had a vr6 Golf and always wanted a Corrado! Funny thing was, when he walked up to the drivers door, he couldn't work out how to open my door! lol Going to post a meet suggestion soon when the rado is back.
  16. I did get an email reply saying it was successful so It should arrive. ---------- Post added at 10:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 PM ---------- For anyone intrested, if you do it by the 6th it's free. http://apps.barclays.co.uk/youniquelybarclays/banking/barclays-personalised-card.html It says it's £6 but once it's gone through you get an email saying £0.00 pounds taken. This correlates with the 6th being the cut off for free personalised cards.
  17. A friend who works for Barclays sent me a link to have my barclays debit card personlised so used a picture of my corrado. Should come through next week. I will find the link for anyone with a barlays debit card......
  18. My birthday present from the girlfriend, now in RHD as she ordered the wrong ones initially.... bless her ... Just need the sender and other bits
  19. Your not wrong matey! I only managed a 5 min drive after the work to the rear was done and the new ball joints and it just felt great. Really together and I didn't want to stop. Re the trimmer, if you would like his number just give me a shout, local chap called Tim. Lovely bloke and very talented. One more pic to come, this should fill a nice gap.
  20. Some better pics of the door cards etc, they are a bit dusty etc and need a final clean before and after fitting. The door card pocket section has a nice soft lining of alcantara and did away with the leather stiching on the handle strips as they just bug me. You feel the stiching everytime you grab the handle. Your probably thinking im a little crazy, but its these things that make it more personal for me.
  21. Some pics from the painter. She should be ready any day now and the rear glass will be removed/replaced for a good finish. That should be me rust free now! Going to take some better pics of the door cards and sub box that's been trimmed. The rear centre armrest is being done curently. Working out what do trim the under trays in? Leather or Alcantara. Or a sensible split? Will see. Hope people have had a nice break over the festive period
  22. Congrats mate, good work! Wish you all well
  23. Mate, I have the original bushes from my car which had no play and look completely fine. Yours cheap if you need them. They are currently in the spare rear beam but could have them removed. If you want to pop over and have a look, your welcome. I live in Bmth.
  24. Thanks buddy It's not my place, I did source the garage for him at a good rate so hes grateful and always looks after me. It does feel like I own the place as im there so much and we always end up finishing at 1 or 2 or even 4.30 in the morning depending on what were doing but It just adds to the experience. Cant recommend him enough, Craig now uses him on here and is equally impressed.
  25. Would like to make this event, not too far from Bmth and fingers crossed for some good weather.
