Ok just a quicky guys.... Got Porsche D90's 8J all round on my VR6.... I've got 22mm adapters.... How thin can I machine these down to, without me causing inner issues, like catching the inner rear beams... also front and rear Coilovers etc.... Getting these done but don't know how far I can go... I'm having problems with the tyres catching the arch lips all round... I am low but want to go that little bit more.. Cheers

Been offered a 2001 Scooby WRX. Talk me out of it..

My first experience of a Subaru was my cousins.. which was a P-plate wrx sportwagon.... At the time I had an E36 M3 and we were forever debating who had the best car.... I didn't think his Subaru was that fast but it did feel light compared to the BMW and thats what made be feel happy that I had a solid German car... Couple of years later, A friend of my old man was selling his Subaru P1... Now that car I really did love to bits and eventually purchased it from him with very low miles..... These are completely different to the WRX's and is a whole different ball game... 2dr coupe and only 1000 made by Prodrive IIRC... I did 20k miles in it and loved every mile.... Never had one problem and it would be in my Top 10 Garage.... Been there and glad I did it.... But I wouldn't go out and buy another... IMO that shape was the best -
I think you earn to much Will....

"About £2k" Ermmm...... Think I'll forget it

MMM... Interesting.... I just really wouldn't mint getting that extra gear in the "C" 6speed sounds nice and I'm sure it would benefit on the good old motorways!!! Does anyone know if this is going to be a straight forward Job??? I don't think I've ever come across a Vr with 6 gears.... On the 2.9 12v engine :)

MMM.... What about changes to bits and pieces such as uprated cams and I really do fancy 6 speed box!!!!! How hard is it to do ????
-
Well I'm really toying with the idea of getting my chains done soon  TBH although the mileage is around £147k..... It does seem to coping very well and isn't really showing signs of "marbles in the Jar" I'm just taking further steps to get it Minter"... What I was thinking though, from reading through various threads... Is it a good time to get other things done or mods whilst all ths major work is being done  So.... Apart from the basics of new chains and cam followers, clutch etc.... I read about: Head gasket being done Replacing the Oil pump rebuilding the gear box etc..... I'm looking for some technicals from you guys really.... I would have thought that possibly getting the gear box rebuilt would be a must with that many miles... What about mods... Like uprating the box to a 6speed and stuff I'm just getting lost in all of this now ... I do need to keep the costs down so... I'm looking to get as much improvement as possible on a very little budget... Sorry about the woffling :D

They're ok!!!! But I think its a question of whether you want to be different ???? I had one of these bumpers once on a Mk2 Golf.... Think it was an RS one...

I put 195/45/16's on my 8J D90s and whist I was at the tyre depot... I told him to take it back off an put 205's on instead.... Thats stretched but just about protects the rim and looks health imo.... I'm a fast driver and value my life too much to risk running such a stretch :)

You will be able to resubmit to another test station, the only data that is held on file is the emissions test!!! You also need to allow the 7 days to pass otherwise its classed as a retake at that current garage...

Is your Corrado your "best" car, or your runabout?
mtc R32 replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
I have spirts of using the Corrado, but haven't driven it now in over a week!!! Bomb around everywhere in my Wifes smart car.... Long journeys I use the Audi A4 2.5 tdi (Quattro)... Perfect for the family with bags of room... Trying to keep ontop of all of them can be a headache and thats not including the cars I also have parked up (Audi A3, Audi Cab, Bmw M3)... Hopefully most of them will be gone soon as they up forsale  -
Here, here..... Lovi those wheels on that car... Gives the C a whole different look..... Fook me is that a charger !!!!! You lucky git
-
sounds like to me the idle valve has stuck inside.... try getting some carb cleaner and working the spring inside.... normally does the trick... :)
-
I'm liking those clear front indicators and fogs .... :) Always thought the rado needed that clear glass effect at the front ... bet it costs a fair bit to buy the complete front end and smoked rears!!!!

Ok.... had alittle bit of a fiddle today, and I am still left scratching my head!!! All the spades are sat tightly in position, there are 3 in total that plug into the main loom!!! I messed about with changing the order of spades and at one piont the drivers side, side light that wasn't working was lit  , but then the passenger side one was off  but both lights work on main beam.... I just can't seem to get both side lights working :(
-
Ahhh... I didn't to begin with and wondered why on first click of the switch my main dip lights would come on... So yes I've unplugged that one..... But still scratching my head why my drivers side side light isn't coming on.... Cheers though
