Tempting I like collecting speedlines :) spotted yesterday and watching

Had one of Daves door handle repair kits for a long time (not that mine were broken) and been trying to ignore fitting it. Any way had to take the door card off to get a small ding sorted.. So decided to give it ago. The parts and instructions in Daves kit are good.. But not sure how your meant to put a thread in the roll pin with a soft screw any way got the pin out of the drivers side by drilling the drill then snatched and I pulled it out. Passenger side was more complicated I had to run a 2.5mm tap down it to remove it.. Door handles seem more positive now. Why is it you find all your drills are blunt when you need them.. Reminder must buy better drills than HSS jobber ones next time. Just need to put door cards back today, and fix a broken clip off the window switch.. Finally decided to get my brand new set of speedlines put on. This could be the year the car makes it out on the road :)

need the drivers side inner window trim that holds the top of the door card in place. needs to be black and for a late VR6. In excellent condition... if you have a passenger side I will also take it as a spare but drivers side more important. PM me or reply to this post with details, or a part number would be helpful as its not stamped up. few pictures.. mine has broken where the lolly stick is, the door card pushes into this channel thanks

Omg... Drivers side door handle repair kit installed... And working... Just can't get the oval inspection hatch at the back of the door to fit flush.. I needed to cut the tie wrap and clips for the handle to come out, that's what was preventing me from moving handle. I guess all will be revealed in the morning when I have a closer look. See my first post with picture.

It's the channel that the top of the door card fits in.

I'm confused now. Sounds like harrier describes. Will remove tomorrow and check hopefully find a part number somewhere.

Thanks harrier, I may of made a big mistake and ordered it. The bit I need is what I've wedged a lolly pop stick in, which the door card fits in. I will have a closer look tomorrow. I think what you have described.

I'm struggling to workout why my picture doesn't look like the profile in that link. I assume it's an inner scraper seal. Thought these were obsolete... If someone can confirm its the correct part I will order new tomorrow.

Thanks will have a play tomorrow.. Any idea about the damaged trim I want, is it available... Finding it hard to find the right bit on VW heritage. I'm wondering if this is the part I need ? Any idea what I need to stick the door plastic liner back with.. It's some back rubber sticky stuff. Almost sealant.
