  1. so is my car still going to be used for this project? Hope so :)
  2. shame my old car may not!!! Al least parts of it will keep going :)
  3. I am glad the car is still running :) was getting worried it would go for parts.
  4. got them from the VW dealers local to me, there were on a special order and meant to be genuine. I am just gobsmacked that they did not last very long as I remember them being over 60 quid :(
  5. They were from VW!! The reciept should have been there for them. I am quite shocked they were so rubbish.
  6. damn plastic one gave up today so really need one of these. Do you have any left? Is BT OK?
  7. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y76/Sl ... r/boot.jpg Got rid of the amp on the outside now and replaced the inside amp with a 6 channel and it looks much better. Also my shopping bags dont get ripped now!!! link to full install post: http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... =6&t=43778
  8. I am not selling, just want it back to standard. Was thinking I only needed springs shocks and bump stops as did top mounts and other parts in the last couple of years. Will look at GSF and vwspares.
  9. I want to put my car back to standard suspension and want to know if anyone has GSF parts or would you recomend VW?
  10. Andy (http://www.trimwizard.co.uk) just did my alarm today. Top Job, he even hoovered my carpets :D Highly Recomended
  11. bump for people having issues with blowers on cold days!!
  12. http://www.the12volt.com/info/recwirsz.asp I would go a minimum of 8 gauge and best would be 4 gauge as then you have no chance of melting the cable and if you ever need to add an amp you have the capacity!!
  13. Took me 5 hours. Hardest part was getting the clips off the blower to heater box bit.
  14. I cut out the old tweets and then used a LOT of glue from a hot glue gun!! Looks messy but its all behing a nice grill so no one can see :)
  15. do this!! http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... highlight= Tweets - MB Quarts - £35 (ebay) Front speakers - Corals 6.5" - £75 (Talkaudio) Sub - Focal 13" - £100 (Car audio shop end of line model) Sub Box hand made £60-80 (for materials) Front Pods - Audioscape - £125 (shop had an extra set and not many cream cars so I got a bargin!) Amps: Sub amp - PG 1200.1d - £350 (Car audio shop display model but not powed in shop) Component amp - BBG 75.4 (licenced by PG) - £125 (ebay) Cables - £80 - again it was all clearance in local shop. included fuse holders and loads of 4 and 8 guage, phonos and some speaker cable. I am goning to change to a single 5 channel amp soon when funds allow. Really cant stress this enough - CABLES!! Make sure you have a good set of Power and speaker cables. I ran JL Audio Power and chunky speaker wire through the car, I need to (one day) change my phonos but its all in now and I dont want to take it all apart again so when doing the cables do it right the first time!! Oh and it sounds great!!
  16. always a good place to look for second hand http://www.talkaudio.co.uk

    Slats VR6

I had it re-connoised which basically is a deep clean and then dye is applied to bring it back to the original colour.
  19. audioscape pods are the way to go :-) link to my install: http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... highlight=
  20. changed the cable on mine as it was stiff and it now is so smooth. Pulled the old cable a bit and loads od black plastic came out. Lasted 120k so not that bad!!
  21. hoover it out, slowley though!! should not really effect the sound though. But it would look better with it fixed :)
  22. Add LPG, saves money if you keep the car for longer than a couple of years.
  23. I have a PG 900.1D amp for my old sub (duel voice coils). At 1200RMS it is overkill for my current sub but I just have it turned down a bit!! If you register on http://www.talkaudio.co.uk they have a good for sale section and you may be able to get a bigger amp :)

    door handles

repair kit is good, note that you have to detatch the wire that goes to the handle so you may need to take the door card off :( I managed to get a set of rears from someone here, post in the wanted section.
