Hi Flusted, I also have just bought a G60 and its my first, so I have loads of questions too. Im following a different route as im keeping the base car as its got all the toys and selling my valver to fund the project. Im sure you can use your 16v box but you have to use the 16v flywheel with it. As for bypassing the charger try this http://www.corrado-club.com/faq/detail_faq.CFM?FAQID=21 My first job is to put mine in for an MOT and then to make sure all is well with the engine and have the charger rebuilt. Stay in touch mate.

Is it really worth the bother? Or is the wiring nightmare just the start of it?

Ive just bought a left hooker G60 and cant find the colour code listed anywhere, even in the buyers guide :? The code is LB5V and its a very dark purple, almost black. The car is a 1990 and was imported to the UK in 92, any ideas?

Did mine today, 11mm union on the fixed pipe and 14mm on the flexi. Had to cut some of mine off as the unions were rounded of and siezed solid, not a problem as ALL my brake pipes failed the MOT so im replacing them all anyway. Im keeping all the old pipes as they are to use as templates just incase Automec dont do a kit for rhe Corrado. Im ringing them in the morning, fingers crossed!

Just spoke to my father-in-law who fitted a wheel bearing to one of my wifes old motors some time ago and he thinks hes still got the kit he made! Well thats one way to get an invite to sunday lunch!

Thing is, i do all my own work normally, but ive never fitted a bearing before!

Dont suppose you fancy popping round for coffee coxylad? Just a thought. How did you go about making one? Is there a VAG tool for this purpose?
-
Oh well! Thanks for that-will the hub be the same as a mk2 16v hub? I have a pair and can get them and bearings to the garage to fit and swap over as time allows?

Following on from the sucess of my post about fitting rear wheel bearings, as i need to fit a N/S front wheel bearing for the MOT, I thought I would fit the pair. Is this a job I could do at home, as before ive never fitted a front wheel bearing before and wondered if any of you have tips which could save me time, money and tears, TIA

Changing my rear discs, (as well as every other brake component) for my MOT and ive just realised that ive never fitted a rear bearing into a disc before. Is there a simple method of fitting at home or do i need to go to the local garage and grovel? Just had a flick through my workshop manual and i cant find any reference to fitting them. Any help keeping the cost of this MOT down will be much appreciated. :)

Big thumps up to PoorMansPorsche for the quality acoustic shelf he sold me and a further big thumbs up to billinjahg60 for collecting it for me and for the door cards, cheers guys!

Ordered some brake conversion hoses from them today for my Corrado and was very impressed with the level of customer service I received. Steve Cresswell took me through all the details to make sure i got the right bits for the job. I've used several of the big names in the past, none of them have matched C&R for attention to detail and service. http://www.candrenterprises.co.uk/
