  2. Never changed an oil pump before but is it not housed in the sump or just above?! Probably wrong but i'm sure someone will correct me!!
  3. I've not declared anything yet but will probably get round to it soon! But give them i try cause everyone else i tried were giving me quotes around £1200-1500.
  4. Andy_VR6, i'm with directline seem to be the only company that give me sensible quotes! :thumbleft:
  5. Wouldn't go so far to say they are unreliable, just gotta take care of them but think the vr6 is much the same after all they are both 10+ years old. IIRC G60 is group 17 and vr6 is group 18 I'm 22 with 1 year ncb and my G60 is £800 fully comp
  6. yeah g60 mate, think i'm going to have to put some pics up so people can see what i'm going on about!!
  7. right, been down to the local motor factors and picked up 1x m12*46mm and 1x m12*58mm, back to the house and they are too big for the holes, so back down and change them for 1xm10*46mm and 1x m10*58mm, still too big!! :x really stuck with this one have i maybe got the wrong bracket in my car?! help much appreciated :notworthy:
  8. missing the bolt that dixxy has mentioned and the bolt on the opposite side of the bracket, the one that screws into the bell housing on the gear box by the starter motor. but it isn't just missing it has sheared off the threaded part of the bell housing. Think i'll try and get that missing bolt and look into another way around the sheared one!
  9. dutchvr6: the bolt on the starter motor side of the bracket has actually sheared off thats whats worrying me but will try to get a bolt to fit the missing one!!
  10. Thought i'd resurect this thread, went to fit my new front mount tonight to find that the bolt which is the same as above is missing!! And when i looked harder i found that the bolt on the starter motor side has actually sheared off the engineblock! Does anyone know what bolt i'm missing and is this sheared off bolt gunna cause further grief? if it will is there any way i can get it fixed?
  11. Yeah he is still doing them, got mine off him recently! Was actually £46 couldn't remember the exact amount yesterday!! But you get what you pay for! and these are really good quality!
  12. Without seeing it, it sounds sketchy but i tried it and it looks pretty cool! Something different anyway! shaking2:
  13. VR6 is right bought one of these looms off zak after reading many posts, best £50 i ever spent! Easy to fit too!
  14. Makes perfect sense mate! bought my c recently and it was only the bad bits i could concentrate on! It's all worth while in the end tho. Lovely looking c by the way!
  15. got some read outs too, Male Drivers side front: 4.16 drivers side rear: 6.28 passenger side front: 6.28 passenger side rear: 6.28 Female DSF: 0 DSR: 1.081 PSF: 0 PSR: 1.085 sorry to keep thread jacking, any help would be great, i'm taking it that the two front sensors are away but what does the DSF male reading of 4.16 mean??!
  16. Looks alright for £13, says you can return it if you ain't happy too! Only problem for me is it says on the application list that it doesn't work for G60 ABS
  17. Was looking up behind the glove box this morning, all i can see is two relays no. 79 and 179 ones grey the other black and below that are two fuses. so is there another fuse further up that i'm not seeing?
  18. Yeah think it has had a respray at some point! not sure when though! Ain't that shiney is it?!
  19. Hi all, had my G60 for just over a month now and finally got some pics taken, let me know what you think:-
  20. Thought i'd add to this post rather than start up a new one, bought my '92 G60 recently and discovered that the abs light has had it's internals pulled out. The MOT is due up in a couple of months so starting to worry bout it passing. Heard alot about vagcom and/or a multi meter but ain't very electrically minded so how do i test my system with the multi meter? wanna try and rule out the obvious bits first before i start thinkin about a new abs pump! also on start up there is not peddle judder but the peddle does clunk. and all fuses seem to be fine under the passenger side footwell. Many thanks in advance for all your help
  21. Was wondering the same thing about my G60, is it easy to fry the ecu?
  22. had my cloth seats apart last night, two metal rings on either side of the wire attach it at the front, unsure of how it attaches at the back. the foam is held to the cloth by two or three metal wires on the underside of the foam. Don't know if thats what you were after mate but thought i'd say while it was fresh in my mind!!!
  23. kevHaywire- Thats it mate dents line up exactly with the marks in the box! UPS took them away yesterday for inspection, thought i'd nip along to vw and find out how much they had them listed at, for ups to see. One BBS wheel for the corrado G60 is 271.73 GBP, got the guy to print that off for me and gave it to UPS when they picked them up. They said the wheels would be back within 48 hours so hopefully they will arrive back 2moro morning, fingers crossed that they only have the dents they lefted with!!
  24. crdo16v, i'll need to wait and see what ups are saying to it, but if i get compensation i'll let you know. The box was padded out really well by the refurb garage, you can see that the box has been dropped really hard on both ends and just the weight of all four wheels crashing down has put flat spots on the rims. Thanks for the offer tho mate
