  1. ohh and i should tell... i've had the subwoofer in the subwoofer box of my buddy... he has an rockford punch amplifier, which delivers about double the power my sherwood does, and it played like thunder... so it allso can't be that it gets too much music in the woofer, i can only think of getting too much power in the amp.... or that it has got a peak voltage during the spark and the transistor(s) got damaged because of that
  2. I can explain why i have a capacitor, when i had just put in my audio, i had much troubles with losing power... after i had put in a new battery i still had troubles, allways hard to ignite the engine.. after half a year of troubles i let my "dynamo" tested (i don't know what it is called in english, but it's the thing that loads the battery) i have a dynamo that should deliver 90 ampere, but when tested it came out that it could only deliver 40 ampere... so i had it rebuilt and it delivers 110 ampere now, but i allready had built in the capacitor... the capacitor isn't an original one that you all know from caliber or dietz i.e., but it's one that really is just a capacitor... a blue cylinder that only gives my current a buffer. Because of this, there are no insulated terminals. the sherwood amplifier allways stayed ice cold before the "spark" problem..
  3. come on.... anyone must have an idea of the problem ????
  4. it should bee real cool, to have everything you add up... but why a laptop, why don't just put the laptop away behind the dash and let everything work on a touch screen tft ?.... mounted in place of the rear view mirror i.e. ?
  5. I have for about 6 years an Sherwood class A amplifier; 2x100watts since i have lowered my corrado, i have incidentally let a wrench fall on the capacitor wich is just behind my amplifier, you can guess what happened... big spark.,.. brrrr.... i was luckily quick with throwing the wrench out my car, but ever since (i allso have put in a new headunit) i have troubles with the amplifier. since the spark the amplifier which supplies my subwoofer plays for about 10 minutes at full volume, then it collapses, or goes into a protect mode, i don't know because i have built away the whole system in my trunk... now is my question, could it be that the transistors of the amp have been damaged by the capacitor because of the spark, or do you think the amplifier gets too high input from the head unit (i had an pioneer deh-p835r with 4x40 watts and low voltage pre-outs, i now have a jvc kd-lh3101 pict with high(er) pre-outs) eversince the cooling plate of the amplifier gets hot (never happened before because a class a amplifier has a built-in cooler) this here is my current install in the boot and this is what it allways has been (rear deck speakers changed)
  6. about 800-900 euro / depends on the brand..
  7. the sticks from pioneer will allso release a jvc headunit
  8. i hate greasy stuff jurgen, only when it's from an engine, it's okay... but i don't think that blocks the sun
  9. ahh i was waiting for that question VR6... the owner allso doesn't know... we're all thinking this is from a very old alarm system, when it malfunctions, you can put it off with this keyhole... but that will be a guess forever i think we had perfect weather for a little meeting, very hot, sunny, and now my head is as red as a tomato 8)
  10. has anyone mad an armrest like this in gb ? i'm going to build one myself too, damn thats relaxing on the highway... p.s. you can allso open the sites where the pictures are on: my site: http://www.corrado-g60.tk danny's site: http://www.mulhof.nl

    MFA Settings

with the g60 you get a bonus menu... with actual fuel use, indication of the rev. limiter etc. etc.... that's when you press the mfa button, hold it, turn the key in accesoire.. trun the key back off (keep holding the button) then turn it back on... start the engine and release the mfa button
  13. can you buy these powerflex hangers at the vag concern, or where do you ordere those...
  14. ehmmmm i gotta think very hard what you mean now... the side panels are side pods ??? those panels are hand-made... just with a piece of karton and use that as a thing to draw on the mdf... no computer work on that... the floor is just a straight plate which fits between the side panels... i don't have a floor plate, so i can reach my spare wheel quite easily
  15. sure.... but are you sure you need the same no. of litres ??? this one is about 30 litres, designed for a jbl gt2 12" woofer... i have more designs on my pc... so if you tell me what no. of litres you need, i'll search one that fits best on your woofer
  16. I have one... but its not improving your bass... it just brings your power supply in your amplifier more constant, that way your battery will last longer and the amp wil get less peak voltage (or dip voltage)
  17. Do you guys order a lot in the netherlands ???? this one has nice goodies too: http://www.sanspeed.nl
  18. if the ODOMETER.. is the same thing as an MFA in vag-therms of speaking.. it's a simple light bulb replacement..
  19. becker has 1 manual that you have to read very good !!! after first time installation you should drive for about 30 miles or so, to calibrate the navigation.. just read the manual, you'll see that you have to see some satellites with a reception level in your display... then you go to drive around a bit.. best is on a straight road with no trees around... then it would calibrate and work fine.. the aerial should be in the middle of the front window and as far as possible horizontally mounted with "free sight" (not right behind your whiper but about 2 or 3 inches away from that)
  20. I've allso built side-panels... left and right with halogen spots in it, in the middle i've put a box which i designed on the computer...this way i would be sure that the litres where correct.. in the left panel i made a panel which can be removed, that way i am able to take along my starter cables/ towcable and all other junk you see in the picture  behind the right panel there is the pump for central locking, so there would be so little room that i didn't think i had to put a detachable panel there. the spots i had to switch on with a relais, that way i don't burn the original wiring i've made a plate-layout from which i could saw and build the whole wooferbox in 1 day ! and the result : in the rear deck i have placed a three way compo speaker set from infinity i hope you will believe that it allways has sounded great.. (until i have damaged my amp recently) so i'm looking for a good amp which can replace my sherwood class A 2x100 watt amp. i would like a little more power, but because of the perfect fit of the subwooferbox the amp must be about 20x20 cm's .... anyone have a good idea what i should do now ??
  21. where do you get those extra strong hangers ??? my REMUS allso is quite heavy, and the sound is properly.. not to loud, and roarrss when i put the revs down ! and the thing why i bought it : it fits exactly in the bumper !
  22. ask him to photoshop the red-white ones (INPRO) or (FK) .... you'll see it's a lot cleaner look here's where you can get images from http://www.nlpower.com
  23. and it looks like the inner lights are brighter than the outer... try philips "chrome" bulbs in the flash lights (i forgot the name of the lights which show wich side you'll turn)... with those lights the units will look a lot brighter
