Wish List / To do Fix rattling Heat Shield Fit Uprated Headlight Loom New top mounts, bushes and it needs lowering Little bit of paint work (front bumper, both doors [tesco parking dent removal  ]) New Exhaust manifold New HT leads New Headlight Loom Wheel re-furb Get new daily driver and stop taking the C to Tesco (and loading it with surfboard and mtb)

From the TSR website - http://www.tsr-performance.com/ £300 for the 4-2-1 and £220 for an exhaust manifold. Supersprint - Italian made with superb internal design which from our experience during rolling road testing gives more power than other systems. Systems have stainless steel pipework and mild steel cases to silencer boxes to reduce harmonic resonance. Quiet & powerful systems with 3 years warranty and a selection of tailpipe types including DTM. My Question is...... I have a cracked exhaust manifold so is it worth upgrading this and the cams at the same time?? And then later on going for the UBR[??] (GVK special, that stealth do with the inlet manifold) mod and a SS exhaust??

Looks awesome, very jealous, contemplating a move to the states in a few years time to be honest. This country is starting to piss me off! I earn a good salary and can't afford a house, I spend half my life worrying my car is going to be vandelised and we all pay through the nose for EVERYTHING! I agree it's not all bad and our standard of living is very high, and I could be regarded as a moaning goit  -
I got mine from TSR for 139.99(delivered) last year, If that helps. Saw it cheaper a couple of months later at Venom :'(

I used mine (thule) for the first time this w/e, and I have to say i am very impressed! No marks left on the car and two mountain bikes transported to the new forest for a damn good blatt!

Hi all, I bought a thule roof rack for my C from someone in Hertforshire (near the m25 j18) and he has lost the box so can no longer send it to me. Is there any chance anyone would mind picking it up for me and meeting up at some C meetup so I can nab them. Would be much appreciated, as it resolves my MTB and surfboard issues :)!!!!!!!! Thanks, Olly -
I can...... :), Of course at the promise of my first meet up since I bought the C it has now started to gracefully fall a part in a way ony Cs can :/. So I may not have the tidiest 2l 16v around :(.
-
Can do then too (I'll stop agreeing now, I can do any week night :))

Gets my vote!!! and bl with the tyre!

I had a similar exp with HIC Henny, they quoted me £1300 (last week) having quoted me around 800ish when I rang up earlier on this year. I was gutted as they get amazing reviews and are suposedly second to none for cover and their contribution to the VW scene. But fluff that will go with my adrian flux renewal no doubt.
-
Been with adrian flux for a year now (renewal the 23rd of this month) and they have been the best company I have dealt with todate. Impressed really - I haven't claimed from them which is apparently when they can be crap!
-
Weekdays (evenings), would suit me a lot better!.

Damn it, I am surfing in Devon next w/e but I will do my damn dest to catch some early waves and then head on up!

I am in Southampton and regulary nip into Salisbury (plus some parts of Dorset), if any one wanted a mini-meetup I'd certainly be game! Edit would luv to see the Audi/Porsche/VW Corrado :),!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw a Black VR6 with 17s on Saturday in one of Salisbury's car parks, underground by the librairy. Another Black Vr6 with 15 inch speedlines in Gillingham around lunch time ish Sunday (I was in a friends new leguna secca blue m3 and we barrelled onto a roundabout you where turning off but I am pretty sure you didn't see us). And a metallic purple 16v in Westkeys car park in Southampton on Sunday around 3-4ish.

It's certainly interesting having 17s Phat..... There is a lot more pull on the wheel which isn't all bad. On a smooth piece of road (rare) they are much better, but on uneven ground they aren't as good as my original 15s where, way more twitchy. Mind you turn in on my C is pretty crap at the moment as my suspension is all original 131k in :). Just can't decide to down grade or not.... Cheers for your opinions so far guys.

http://www.yourvw-audi.com/ Very nice to deal with, very knowledgable and in with Club GTI lots. They've done a few things on my C now (clutch and MOT) and very pleased with the work, while not the cheapest I don't feel my self worrying about the C when it's in their hands! Would recommend them to anyone. Cheers, Olly

Hi all, Getting annoyed with my 17s. I love the looks of them, but I worry that I am losing some acceleration, fuel economy and handling (especially on crappy roads - read all British Roads). My rear bushes need replacing soon and I am planning on upgrading all - VAG vr-16v mounts, bushes and bumpstops all round with koni TA shocks and H&R springs with a 35-40mm drop. But I am now begining to wonder if I don't drop the wheel size to 16s or 15s even and have the car properly setup for them when all the work gets done???? Or should I stick with 17s and get the car setup for them? (it has already been geo-tested and setup for them currently) Any thoughts???? (Will also put eibach roll bars on the rear and may be the front, but will be after my savings have recovered from the above!!!) Cheers, Olly.

How much is it going to cost for that lot Phat?? No worries if you don't want to answer that, I need some body work done badly, but too scared to get a quote. I need both sides repsrayed and tesco parking dents removed + my front bumper needs a respray after I splattered some kind of bird at 80 :/.
-
Parrallel parking with my wheels and the fact I can't see booger all :/. Other than that I love it to pieces, can't wait until I finally get my drive/garage to park it on/in!!!!!!!!
-
This idea would rock for me! I hate asking stupid questions and being (for want of a better word) a noob. I love cars to pieces and as soon as I could afford the insurance all I wanted was my C, for soo many reasons! One of which was to learn more about the mechanical aspects of car ownership and to do a lot of the work myself. It came as a bit of a blow to find there was no Haines manual :). my 2p, Olly. p.s: For all the stupid questions I have asked in the past and will ask I appologise, if anyone can think of a better way for me to learn, I 'd be more than happy to consider it!

Done it :) still dead tho, having the clutch replaced in autotechniks of southampton having been towed there by the RAC :( Cheers for all your help guys! Much appreciated

This is my problem with it all I don't know which is the bleed valve and I don't want to be pocking screw drivers where they don't belong!
