  1. Really need to have a look at the car before I can make any judgement on it but unless I can get the price down, it won't be worth me travelling up or wasting anyone's time to have a quick look for me. Thank for all your comments :salute:
  2. Give me a shout when you come to sell it as I might be intreasted in it :D
  3. The dealer has come back to me with answers to some of my questions as below. 1) 5 previous owners 2) fully serviced and mot by ourselves before sale 3) service history there is no actual book but paperwork and old mot's to verify mileage and service 4) all our vehicles are hpi checked if you would like to check yourself reg: M966 VTS... VIN NO: wvwzzz50zsk000406 I'm not too keen about there not being a service book available especially at the price he's asking for it. He has included a photo of some of the paper work that is coming with the car. hols 1 017.JPG[/attachment:1gcsnti7]
  4. I used to love my 8v. I had it for 7 years until some idiot smashed into its side at a roundabout. Unfortunately it was a right off. :( You wouldn't have though it but with the cost of parts and labour it would have cost almost as much as the value of the car to repair it. In the end I took the money put it towards a dull, lifeless Polo 8v as my daily. After 3 years of owning it I'm fed with it and want a 8v rado as my daily again.
  5. I've spoken to the dealer and its actually 120 miles from me, located in Birmingham at B24 0QA. Thanks for the offer Jim. I've asked the dealer to send me some extra info before I move forward with this. If everything looks good I'll then if he's flexible with the price :D
  6. That's maybe why it hasn't sold yet. I was thinking of offering something more like £1500 - £1600
  7. linky here :D http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1068356.htm
  8. Has anyone had a look at the 8v Blackberry that is up for sale on PistonHeads? The dealer is called Avhall Sports and i think its been up for sale for over a month now. The car is located over 80 miles from me and it could save me the bother if someone has already viewed it and found that its of poor quality.
  9. Bought some rear Golf Mk4 calipers off them. Again not the cheapest but it was in good condition and they provided a guarantee with the item. Funny it cost me twice the amount as my front calipers which I got off eBay. I would buy from them again if I was desperate but would look on eBay first as you can usually pick popular bits up cheaper.
  10. Forza 2 was the main reason that I bought a Xbox. I am really looking forward to this but it better not be a GT5 clone. I also hope they still have the Corrado and the Scirocco MKI, II & III would be a great addition :D Something like the ones below would be great... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfMKIII.jpg[/attachment:2v4yxdgb] MKI.JPG[/attachment:2v4yxdgb]
  11. Ebay is my usual first point of call but they don't quite have anything that resembles the aerial above. I've bought honda s2000 ones off eBay but they were too long and didn't fit right.
  12. I seem to remember seeing this on the forum in the past but does anyone know where can I get a stubby aerial like the one on the picture below? BTW - I found the pic on a US web page and it would be more practical if I could source the aerial from within the UK. http://www.parts4euro.com/DCShop/produc ... ducts_id=8 30008b.jpg[/attachment:2ciahmd3]
  13. 3 for me... 1. Black 8v - RIP 2. Storm, Blue M Reg 3. Sold it and now drive a Polo as my daily :(
  14. I've only stumbled on the pictures above today on Picasa when i was updating my web album. Great photos from a great car. :notworthy:
  15. English version of the article with a mention of Corrado, even though the spelled it wrong :mad2: http://www.supercarzine.com/vw-scirocco ... leben.html "looking upon the coming Scirocco R32 soon" Is there something that I don't know!!!
  16. Oh WoW  That Mk1 is wicked :notworthy: I always wanted a Mk1 one and after seeing the article it makes me want one even more! :D The Mk3 looks a lot better with a body kit but off course not as good as the Corrado :D
  17. Hey Oli, I love the rimms on old Hannah :luvlove: I recognise the wheels at VW Players a few weeks ago. Where you two there? :)
  18. I had the same problem on my old 8v, a few times over the years of owning it. When it first started happening, it pissed me off so much that I kept my foot on the accelerator and the fuel pump failed. After replacing it, it was fine for years until one day I let the fuel level go down way too low and it started happening again. I have a feeling that it probably sucked some crap out of the bottom of the fuel tank which was blocking the petrol line. Unfortunately some idiot went into me at a roundabout and wrote the car off before I could get it sorted out.
  19. I've looked up the price for A/C switch and trim prices that I paid and they came to as follows. • Heater A/C Control Trim - Part No. 535 919 383 E $14.00 • Cigarette Holder For A/C Vehicles - Part No.. 535 863 284 B $146.00 So, all the parts with $25 shipping came to $185 which was something like £90. Not £140 that I thought it was but still a high cost but I used to these prices after 9 years of Corrado ownership. :|
  20. The picture I posted is not from my car but a Corrado in the States. I haven't got air-con in my Storm but I bought the same switch from VW in the US back in May, in mind to have it installed one day. They came to quite a lot of money. With the cigarette lighter trim and switch, it came to something like £140. Apparently they are the standard late Corrado set that VW sells in country's where you can get air-con as an option... or as standard which I think it was in the US. If you look at the heater control trim (where it says AIRconditioning) the controls are swapped around for left hand cars. I read in one of the GB Corrado Club Sprinter magazines back in 1999 that Preh Group ( http://www.preh.com/ ) used to do a right hand driver heater control which said AIRconditioning. These must be super rare now.
  21. oh ok, i see now. sorry can't help then 8)
  22. Here it is.. Is this the switch that you are after as I got a brand new one?
  23. I would post a picture if I could work out how to attatch it to may reply
  24. Is the early air-con switch the same as the late switch? Are they the ones that are part of the cigarette lighter with the low/high push switch option?
  25. I got fed up of waiting for the rear calipers to show up on eBay so I sourced my rear mk4 calipers from volkswagenspares for £75. They were in good condition and it didn't take much to clean them up and paint them red as they are made out of aluminum. The front ones were a different matter. I got them for £60 off eBay in quite good condition but being made out of steel, even the small amount of rust that it had, it took bloody ages to grind off. http://www.car-partsonline.com/Brake_Calipers_34.asp
