Phil K, What grill/spoiler have you got on your C mate? Is it the all-in-one grill/spoiler off ebay?
-
Sorry mate should of read ahead i didnt realise you'd got one already  well good luck with your C anyway!
-
If you have 5k to spend mate then THIS one is a minter and top spec. He said he will negotiate on the price as well. I wanted it but cant afford it :( Rob.

What size tyres would be best for 9's without scrubbing issues and not too much stretch? I will be keeping standard speedlines on for a while when i get the car just to have a play and get used to the car, then i will slam it and put some 9x16's on just to look sexual!! lol Thats only if i ever get one :(

Thanks for the replies guys, i will ask the guy about the top mounts, i was not aware of this. I guess i was totally wrong about the bump stops, but i remember viewing a thread from someone who put lowering springs on his car and complained the back was way too high, then he was told to remove the bump stops and that made the back drop more. I agree about the stance, i think the C looks great with the back slightly higher than the front, just that with 9x16's i think it looks best without much of a gap between wheels and arches. Will the 16's fill the arches a bit more? Also i was not aware that 9x16's effect the handling, i will go with them at first for show as i can get a set really cheap and they will look the nuts, however if i decide i want more handling ability i may change the wheels. Thanks again for the help, Rob.

yeah it does look awesome as it is, but i will be putting some 9x16's on and i just think it will look silly with a gap at the back not the front if you get me.

Hi everyone, I know that i have been saying this for ages now and tbh im a little fed up of saying it but ... i am hoping to get a vr very soon as soon as iv sold my car. I have found a really nice vr on the trader that i want. Its been lowered 40mm the seller tells me but the front looks alot lower than the rear. Now am i right in thinking (i heard this mentioned in another thread one time) that he hasnt removed the bump stops (?) meaning it wont lower much and if removed the back will sit lower? Or is it just that the back doesnt lower as much as the front full stop? Here is the pic: Thanks, Rob.

It said on club gti they were both 1.8t's with big turbos and tuned, so no surprise the mk1 was slightly quicker being so light and nimble. Or am i wrong? The mk1 looked a wicked bit of kit, shame it crashed
-
Whoops i attached it twice  looks twice as nice now tho lol.

Here you go mate

snotrag, hello mate, looks like you and me are in the same boat! I am a student just started my industrial placement earning good money so i am getting a corrado as my next car. Im going all out though and getting a vr :D like you i also drive a ford at the moment, but i have the ford fiesta zetec-s 1.6 16v which is a great car but i want summin more exciting and rare! Im hoping to look at a vr next week some time! Good luck finding a corrado mate and welcome to the forum :) Rob. -
Thanks, i will look into it when i get the car then. I wont be putting the wheels on until i get it lowered anyway as it will look stupid having big wide wheels on 4x4 suspension
-
How much does it cost to get arches rolled and what exactly is involved? I will be getting a vr soon and have 9x16 Brock wheels lined up for it and i am wanting to drop it for the wide look so im guessing i will need to roll the arches lol? Rob.
-
Does anybody know this?
-
I will hopefully be getting my C soon and the one im looking at is a late model with the 4x4 stance. I will want to drop it to a practical but good looking height to sit on some wide wheels. But i was wondering, are there different suspensions for the early and late model C's? If i get a -40mm suspension kit for it will it mean its lowering the 4x4 by 40mm so its not much different to the early standard or is it lowering the early height so its quite low??? :? lol Thanks, Rob.
-
Thanks mate :) that looks a nice drop, not too low but i think once i get some 9x16's on it should sit nicely. How do you find it for everyday driving? Anyone else know about the difference between the older and newer vr's suspension wise? Thanks. Rob

I have a question, when i get my vr i will want to drop it as i have some nice brock wheels lined up for it. However i want quite a practical drop but that will still look good on wide wheels. I was thinking a 40mm drop on springs and shocks as i cant afford coilies. But whats the difference with the older vr's and the newer 4x4 vr's? Is the 40mm drop for the older style or the new 4x4 style? Also i remember someone saying about cutting bump stops, whats that about then? Thanks. Rob.
