  1. What's your camber set to? Good point ;)
  2. Well, I changed my rear springs at the weekend, now running 375lb front and 225lb rear. Also discovered I'd put mu rear Neuspeed ARB on the softest setting and the front wheels had a bit too much negative camber. Swapped the springs, stiffened the ARB and corrected the camber and the car now corners like a house fly! Turn in is instant and general driving feels so effortless as a small turn of the steering does a lot  Not played around with the damping settings just yet, but went a bit softer on the back so only on 7 clicks in total now, the ride is still firm but not as crashy as with twice as many clicks, really pleased with it! Haven't touched the fronts yet so might play around with them to see how that affects it.
  3. I dunno, but I'm hoping quite a lot as I have one  Would be a shame to do all that work then sell it though.
  4. You mean the Kumho KW23? Available in 205 or 215/40/17? Prices? Also available in 195/50/15 for Speedies and only £32.70 from Camskill 8) 195's would be ok on speedies wouldn't they?
  5. Yeah they're a right PITA to get hold of, which is ridiculous really considering the chaos caused by last winter, you'd think they'd be readily available! AFAIK Vredestein Wintrac/Snowtrac are supposed to be pretty good. Would be good to get some solid reviews though other than on the uber expensive new ones which you can't seem to get anywhere!
  6. That's what I'm putting on mine in the near future. They're not cheap though  I completely agree about the standard bushes, I don't like how they make the rear feel either. People say that old tired ones are nothing like as tight and secure feeling as new ones, but I disagree to some extent. When I had mine replaced, I didn't feel the supposed benefits of new ones at all. It felt pretty much the same. It's only the completely collapased ones that will show any significany improvements. 90% of worn bushes are just old, not f'cked. I didn't feel a massive difference when getting my rear beam bushes replaced, it WAS better than before but then my old ones pretty much fell out, but I wasn't blown away by the difference. Too late now, but I think next time mine need doing I'll probs go for these VT ones, depending on people's experiences.
  7. MK3 GTI Anniversary BBS RX2's are 7x16 and come with 215/40/16 tyres (standard). MK4 BBS RX2's (usually found on boras) are 6.5x16 and will have chunkier 205/55/16 tyres on standard IIRC. The MK4 ones are generally easy to get hold of, the proper MK3 anniversary ones are quite rare.
  8. It would probably be the best Corrado in the world
  9. Mmmmmmm looking good Kev! 8) Hmm yeah the 215's are a bit balloony but they look comfortable  Hopefully they look ok on my Rotas with their more curvy design and don't look too obvious with the 205's on front!
  10. You guys wanna see the workshop where I work on my car! 8) Full of 900-1000bhp drag prepared American muscle cars :luvlove: Me and Kev drool every time we go there
  11. I've used them before, got the tyres next day (after despatched), I ordered some tyres through them just this morning in fact, online though never tried ringing them.
  12. My renewal with Brentacre is £1009 (I paid ~£950 last year), I got a quote from Greenlight for ~£730! That's better than I was expecting, that's with the R32 conversion declared and other mods as far as I know, I'm gunna ring them to check and if it's correct then Brentacre will have some serious reducing to do to keep me on board!
  13. Brentacre have put mine up :( only about £40 but still it's another clean year with another NCB (5 in total now) and it goes up :censored:
  14. Love it Kip, so OEM :notworthy: I really need to fit the airbox to mine, looks so good!
  15. Think you need to be signed in to Edit don't you?
  16. To keep the file size down on a Word doc when using images, make sure you don't just copy huge images in to Word and then resize/crop them there! Instead, copy the large image in to some picture editting software (even MS Paint will do!), crop them and do whatever you need to do with them in there and then copy that image in to Word, the file size of the image will be much less so therefore the Word file size will be less :salute: Here's a few pics I have readily available (the front mount one's a bit blurry sorry!)
  17. Yeah I thought they'd been replaced by the KH31's but Camskill don't have them in 204/40/17. Hopefully they do very soon though!
  18. Kev, I've just been looking for the Kumho KU31's again in 205/40/17 and Camskill (who are the cheapest by a mile!) don't have any in stock :(
  19. Yep, got my insurance renewal through and surprise surprise it's more than last year, they want £1009 and I'm sure last year's was only ~£900-950 ish. I still need to change it to my new address though (oops ) so that should take it down a bit as I'm in a much better area now, but doubt it will make a difference! Just so f**king annoying that I've been with them a year and got another year's NCB and yet I have to pay more! :bad-words: So looks like I'll be getting some more quotes and then going back to Brentacre with the lowest (if I can f**king get a lower quote :censored:) and telling them to beat/match it else I'll be going elsewhere! I really don't want to go elsewhere though as that means I'll need to pay the deposit etc again which along with taxing the car and needing rear tyres etc etc I'm gunna be skint again next month :(
  20. Yeah I hear ya, it's gay ... gay gay gay gay gay! Mine's up for renewal in a couple of weeks with Brentacre, will be interested to see how much it'll go up by even though I'll have driven another year without any claims etc
  21. If only I could insure my car with Haywire Insurance :luvlove: but sadly such a company does not exist :(
  22. I think the roads have a lot to do with this, I've been told my rack is fine and mine feels heavier turning right than left most the time. Yet on some roads it feels fine (well when the tracking is right anyway!). One part of the duel carriageway I take to work gets on my tits every day, car is constantly pulling to the left as the road tilts away for drainage :censored:
