My gearbox end tower keeps jumping out of alignment if I throw in reverse quickly😞. Seems like there is a piece missing . Any ideas? Or has anyone got all the part numbers required to change to mk4 set up

you did put the blue lugs on from in the boot side, not put them on the badge then push it in the holes didnt you :lol: . that or the holes have rusted to a bigger diameter so they are pulling out.

think you need to squeeze the two pieces of plastic together and push them through after you have pushed the insert's out.i did it 2 at a time from one end .once 2 are out wedge something there to stop them popping back in and then do the next 2.

would have thought vw and other lesser builders would have put these on in the factory if they worked.

sorry i thought you just filled in with fibre and filler didnt know you welded in plates first :confused4:

how long did the f/glass and filler last?
