Differing attitudes of dealers - UPDATED with some sad news
Paulr1980 replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
Left a lump in my throat. I'm very glad that there are a few companies around that have the ability to look passed a balance sheet! I'm sure your dads very proud. -
Son, where have you been? I've missed you... Have you had your feet dewebbed yet?
-
Errrrm guys... Where did you get a pic of my missus from??? She looks better in other photo's I have and she's lost a bit of weight since then. That pic was taken about a year ago.

This is great!! my cars got a twin.. well almost! Mines from NZ also and was brought over in 96. Has got side indicators though which is odd. Nice car

Isn't that kind of the point??

Yeah.. not really what suits my taste either.. reminds me of mutley from wacky racers... Stop that pigeon now!!

Honda S2000. Has anyone had a play with one on the road..
Paulr1980 replied to W3RKD's topic in General Car Chat
i used to work at a honda dealer in the service dept. A guy came in once complaining of it feeling very dodgy at the rear when cornering... This car was only 2 weeks old and when checked, RHR wheel was 00 camber and the LHR was set to -2.0!! no wonder.. He was grinning like a cheshire when we had sorted it. -
lowered on ebay coilovers so jamex, pi whatever you want to name them. I'll measure up and post the heights etc on later

Something screams ringer.. I wouldn't trust that its had two owners.. and even then, which part of the car!! lol I agree with furkz.. It looks pretty good from the outside. Be awful to thing of it being driven hard and in an accident. There would be nothing left -
The car was originally from NZ! Although the car came with loads of history and the import docs.. I had no prob with the kph dials as it helps on the way to the ring :) I got the recaros of some muppet on ebay that sold them as evo seats and never put the word recaro in the listing... no one saw them and I punted a low offer in. :)

Did it have any history at all? That is unbelievable though. Some people need stringing up and put on an attempted murder charge!! -
I wanted a sort of performance OE look at a high standard. Total cost for interior is £240. :) Let me know what you think...

Here's mine. A snap on key ring and a BRDC key ring from inside the BRDC building at silverstone. It's a long story (It's impossible to get inside the BRDC normally) but I lived with a BTCC driver and got in. Bought a key fob while in there.. My missus.. If you like Kill Bill you'll like it.

Ooh! Ooh! Another Corrado! Must wave!!!
Paulr1980 replied to storm_warning's topic in General Car Chat
I've got a bit of a complex about this now.. I've come from the classic mini fraternity and it's a given that you wave/nod/leap about like a maniac. Going from that to the C and assuming as its a rare car everyone will be the same... errrm nope. I've tried it and failed miserably.... No one waves!!! not in gloucester and cheltenham anyway. So now I wait for someone else to make the first move. :) -
You can buy flocking kits.. I was going to do something like this, very evo looking but flocking kits are expensive and you would need looads. I think it'd look great though
-
I've not been told a price yet but he said "of course we could do something.... let me know how many and I'll come up with a price for you." Shall we get a GB list together (tentative) and once we've got a reasonable number I'll hassle him for a best price.. It would certainley be better than £200!!!
-
I don't think it would suit it either. Maybe a nice new black leather gaiter with red stitching.. I'd be up for that but I'll leave the H gate's to the ferrari's.

40mm sounds good to me. If you're looking for a budget yet solid kit then you'd do worse than the weitec kit which lowers 40/40 and that's non adjustable spring/shock kit. There's a huge thread on what suspension so best read that first if you're considering collies.. :)

Just to add. Both coilovers and struts/springs may or may not come with damper adjust. It mainly depends on how much you spend. Coilovers sometimes (more often than not) come with helper springs, these act as a progressive spring similar in design to eibach's lower coils found on their springs.
