That'll be mine I think... only the second time I've spotted someone on here! Car looked good :D

RXs on a blackberry? def gets my vote  Car looks lovely by the way. Hope mine will shine like that one day :D

My details: 32 - Garaged - 3k miles per year - Classic policy so NCB is not required (though I have 11 years on another car) - Agreed value - Fully comp = £200 - Performance direct 0844 573 3507 (http://www.performancedirect.co.uk) Insurer is Red Star equity. My other car is with Adrian Flux and they couldn't get anywhere near P/D's quote. I've dealt with these many times over the last dozen or so years and have had no issues whith them what so ever. I even turned my mum on to them and she halved her insurance. Should be on commission really... thanks for that James. My details are very similar to yours so I will def be giving them a call :thumbleft:

think this is the how to thread everyone keeps mentioning. Seems like a lot of effort to me but good luck if you decide to go for it. Not sure I'm keen on the front without fog lights either :?

I'm not sure which company it's with (I left my notes at work) although I hadn't heard of them before. But I got it through Herts who advertise here. ok thanks. I hadn't planned on calling Herts as my current premium is with them. Also phoned them in Feb for my Jetta and found their whole call centre style of working such a PITA. Will be calling the other usual suspects though - Adrian Flux, Brentacre and Chris Knott

who is that with please Portent? I'm about to have to go through this painful process too. Sigh.

ah ok, makes sense about Combe. Well I'm def interested in another couple of days so I'll do some research. Something cheap and not too far north would be good! Shame about Thruxton though, hadn't realised that... btw, do you still have the photos from Combe last year? I know you were going to email them but I didn't get them - it's only a hotmail acct so maybe they were undelivered cos of size? -

Me, me, me! I'd def like to go on some more track days but unfortunately can't make either of the first 2 dates you mentioned John. How about the Autometrix track day again? I know it isn't anywhere different but I really enjoyed last year. I was hoping to go to the Ring that weekend but that isn't happening now - at least it means I can now make this. Thruxton is also ideal for me as it's just down the road :) -

That's about 3 miles from my home - had to check mine hadn't gone out on a jolly in the middle of the night :norty: . It hadn't - I drive down Ascot high st at about 5pm yesterday - hence right colour, wrong time :epicfail: . We need another maidenhead/slough/ascot/bracknell type meet sometime, last one in taplow had a really good turn out for a little get together (about 10-15 cars I think). Whos in ? nice idea - that last meet was good. Do you want to start a thread to see how many are interested - I don't mind doing so if you don't want to :) sorry everyone for :offtopic:

sounds interesting, Ben - I'll keep watch for that Both cars got chufties today :D Took the Jetta to get 2 tyres replaced and when I was given the keys back I was told that the guy who fitted them loved it and wanted to buy it from me. The fitter then came over and chatted to me about the car, saying how rare it is, what lovely condition it’s in etc and told me I should do it up. I said that I already have a Corrado eating up any spare cash and he asked why I wanted a C when I had the J. The other guy then piped up and they started arguing about which is the better car  The rado’s MOT is in a couple of weeks so need to do some pre-test checks and then the nail-biting can begin... :pale:
-
 when are you buying the other 2?

Good to see you Nick and thanks, my C has had a few improvements since Castle Combe – I can’t take credit for them though! As for the photos, yes please, that would be great! 8) Maybe you could give me some tips too? I still haven’t bought a dig SLR but my G9 is ok for now. I’ll need to give the car a thorough clean first though – the lack of lights in the car park made it look a lot cleaner than it is ;) Are there some good photo locations that you know of nearby? Hi Ben, I paid a bit less for the V1s cos I bought them before the VAT rate changed but I know that DG Autotech are selling the inox ones for £630 now. I am so chuffed with the car now so thanks for the nice comment. Do you have plans to get another soon? It will have to be a good one if it’s gonna be as nice as the last one

yep, I'll be there tomorrow :) Interested to see what you've got lined up for the underside
