The little part the oil pressure sender screws into on a PG head. It goes copper washer then that bit then copper washer then another bit then the copper washer and then the oil feed for the charger I need the number for the bit that slides along the big union that the sender screws into Thanks

mine was valve stem seals , engine was a corrado g60 on 86k

The old cossies and the Audi sport Quattros used to do the turbo chatter, sounds mental! :D

what do i need to upgrade brakes from 8v to g60 spec, have calipers and discs, parts reqd to get them on 88 gti. cheers oh do i need to change master cylinder too to prevent excessive pedal travel?
-
thats not a de-cat pipe is it? soz ill get mi coat

imo go to vw dealers for that u shaped pipe and get the correct clips, think it cost summat lie a tenner from there iirc. its even got the little line where the clip should go and its the correct pipe for the job. If you get one from a factors, make sure its got the same outside diameter and inner diameter as if the outside dia is bigger, you wont get as much clamping force thru the clip onto the pipe it connects to. I did the same and it blew the pipe off and i was wondering why there was steam comin off the exhaust manifold and why it was spluttering, fuel allover the hot mainfold, not a good ide i tell ya!

excise my ignorance mate, but how do u get the spring off, ie normally the calipers or spring compressor goes around the head and then pressure exerted on the speing compresses it and u get the collets off, how do u do it if you dont take the head off? be interested inthis as ive heard people say theyve done it without takin the head off, cheers and good luck mate

as nwa once sed dont believe the hype
-
but aint there a dowel hole in there to make sure this dont happen on the crank pulley?
-
I reckon mine revs easier is cos of my mk2 flywheel, i think theyre a bit lighter, and hence the reason u catch me goin up hills, and slowly edge past!
-
and rev it 3 times past 3k lol
-
am no expert so please dont shoot me for saying this, but if the crank pulley has a woodruff key in it, then there can only be one place that the pulley can go on, whereas a flywheel can go on in any orientation, if its been changed or removed for a reason. just my 2 penneth worth. of course i may be way off the mark here( no pun intended), id be more inclined to go with the crank pulley marks, cos mine was timed up using them, had to be cos im using a mk2 gearbox and flywheel and as the guy who did it is the author of this thread, right Neil?

Well done! Glad you liked the article even though we had a few issues with the videos lol

seems like a bit of a short time for it to pack in mate, mind you thats the same wi my starter motor 14 months and it gets driven 15 to 20 miles each week , usually to the garage and back lol always can have the spare one i have knocking about m8 gis a shout if ya want it

Well first of all , thanks for the responses, checked the vacuum hoses and they were ok we bumped the car , cos starters dead and i unplugged the lambda, it started ok and then let it warm up as it seemed ok on idle when on cold, but as soon as it warmed up it starts coughing, well in this case it was fine, when warmed up it was ok, so to eliminate the lambda, i replugged it back in and about 3 secs later the engine starts misbehaving slightly and then starts running rich, so unplugged the lambda again and it reverted back. Its true that on idle it follows a map , but as soon as it comes off choke so to speak and has warmed up, it was relying on the lambda, so hence it started coughin when lambda was plugged in. So now my mate is a happy bunny, apart from the lack of a working starter motor, but GSF have come up trumps and will have it fitted soon. Thanks once again and sorry for the mini novel in response Cheers
-
lambda probe yeah? is it easily accessible from the engine bay or is it time to jack the car up and disconnect it from the exhaust
-
Sorry if this is a repost but my mate has an annoying problem, car starts up fine, idles ok until the car warms up then it coughs and spits and overfuels big time, loads of black smoke out of the exhaust and then it sometimes dies His starter motor has gone as well. Tried the idle switch thingy, open the throttle and press the switch in and it goes back to idle so assuming that one works. no visible earths unconnected or frayed, incidentally could someone point out where the earths should be on these? it just runs mega rich! dunno wot to suggest to him, could it be the BTS? made sure the throttle switch was working and free to move and it was ok. Hes like this atm Suggestions? Thanks oh hes running a 68mm pulley and sns chip .

My mate has asked me to put this question to u guys He has a toad alarm, model number AI 606 and needs to know if there are any places taht sell thsi particular relay that can handle 12v aand 10/15A and then the other coil bit using a 1v. Im not sure if ive worded it right cos i know nowt bout electrics, but i think he wants to use his alarm to operate his boot, so he needs a boot release relay. any help would be much appreciated Cheers
