Yup, it drives me up the wall. I was a bit blunt tho, :nono:  I think the thing is they could hardly bring out an updated version that went slower, so the 2.0 has got to be able to at least keep up.

Calipers from BiggRed and my running gear refurb
The_Dude replied to pete_griff's topic in Drivetrain
sending mine off tomorrow, will try to get some before and after shots as they're pretty rusty now. going for the polymer coating jobbie, seems a bit of a waste to get them refurbished only to start rusting a few years later, this way i can have piece of mind for an extra 30 quid. -
and went from 4 stud hubs to 5 stud....or was that just the VR?

You're not on Top Gear, please don't talk like a retard. We all understand what torque is on here. Heater controls, dash stalks, bonnet, wings and bumper were all changed slighty.
-
There is also the fact that the cat on the 2.0 is more restrictive, whereas the 1.8 doesn't have one.

Well when I'm pootling around town I don't go over 2.5-3k revs and the MFA can say 38-42mpg. I don't believe this however as even though I am using a gnat's proverbial of throttle, the fact I have larger injectors may affect the reading. Booting it, well I didn't charge my C to look at economy, but I would guess around 10-20 ish. I virtually never brim the tank either as its a waste hauling round an extra person's weight in fuel. Sorry!

I'll grab one too if you still have some. Ta -
Excellent news Nick, glad to hear it turned out ok. Just shows what a well written letter can do. Rah rah rah!
-
Yup, covers everything and also well worded, calm and mentions your rights as a consumer. It may also be prudent to print off a hard copy and send that recorded delivery. That way they have no excuses for no answering you.
-
No, they're multi fit, got 10 holes all round the hub, so I'm guessing they'd do 4x100. The offer stands mate if you wanna.
-
You getting it sorted soon? I still have a couple of mine sitting around that you could whack on the back, temporary style.
-
Sorry to hear about all the troubles you've having Nick, they sound like a right bunch of shifty buggers. Hope you get it sorted soon. Your wheels look really cool though, they 17s? I loved the looks of them on my car, but the 18s were just too much of a pig when it came to driving in a straight line!

Tuning Werkes in South Croydon ain't too bad either...not too far from you. http://tuningwerkes.com/

Skyline R34 as previously said - about 10-12k then spend the rest on turbos. Or Cobra kit car. Perhaps now not a good time to mention how much I've spent on the 'rado? It ain't 15k, but its not too far off once you add on the labour charges....

Alfa Romeo It may be beautiful but you're still ugly.

Knew I'd seen him before. I think every car sale ad should have a kid doing something silly in it. 8)

dash backlights - more tales of woe in the corrado story

Getting the clocks out is very easy, but yeah, I've lost quite a few screws down the inside of the dash! -
It looks like a running shoe! Bleugh.

i'm by no means an electrician but i would first start by checking the back of the cluster to make sure its plugged in properly. then start looking at fuses (tho i doubt its a fuse as why would the lights come back on?) sounds like a loose connection somewhere -
Hmm, your mechanics sound like a bunch of cowboys mate. If I were you I'd take it to Stealth or somewhere with a similar rep and get them to properly sort it. It may end up costing a fair bit more but at least you'll have peace of mind that's its been looked at someone who actually knows what they are doing. After all, you've been having issues for ages and it may be something is up. My 2p.

the man likes black cars with black wheels. sick collection.

There's 2 I can think of....one is from someone's avatar and the other is Lindy's (i think) big bodykitted beast.
-
I would check first the wiper nut is screwed on tight enough, then check all the linkages, sounds like something is loose/broken.
-
It looks proper hard. Those wheels are nice too, got some similar ones on mine. What size tyres you got on them, I'm changing them soon.
