JSB Racing Shiftlight kit - Pre-order for next batch
The_Dude replied to mrbeige's topic in Suppliers Forum
I'll have one please, even though I don't have a Rado atm. Hopefully it will inspire me to be a bit less picky and just buy a another goddam car! :) Send me a pm or something about payment, I have paypal. -
Oh g'waaaaaan. Besides, you've made up for it by getting a Corrado. 8)
-
Oh, and I'll guess the chinny Calibra on page 7.
-
How cool? Where we're going we don't need roads......
-
Cold air is denser, therefore more oxygen in the fuel/air mix = bigger bang and better efficiency.
-
I'm sure that low fuel consumption comes from sitting in traffic - you're doing no miles to the gallon sat still, so the mpg average will go down. You'll be using less fuel than if you were crawling about, but cos you're sat still the mfa will lie. My old astra gsi used to have both average and instant consumption - the instant would be at 99.9 mpg sat in traffic and the average would be high teens. Edit - and I only ever used Optimax in my valver - it was great for the motorways, so much better response, but not sure how it affected it around town.

1.0 Mk1 Golf, X reg with 13 previous owners, a different coloured door, radio only, massive dents down the side (which I then added to after an argument with a fence) and she topped out at 60. Sweet motor.

Nice car mate, the colour came out really well. Supercool. 8) Good to see another H *** URN on the roads, as mine has just been totalled! (it was H485 if you're curious)

Don't think that torque steer has anything to do with gearbox, it could be that you tracking is now out, especially if you were hooning it round corners and jumping the kerbs. If its not that then you could have done some damage to the steering rack, or heavy abuse could just have contributed to it wearing out quicker. Not sure about the gearbox though, sorry.

Foose is THE man when it comes to customizing american cars, just watch any show of Overhaulin' on Discovery and you'll see the leg end in action. I'd still have the Shelby though, if only I could afford it. Maybe if we all chipped in and had it as a time-share?

reject it. i did the same with one of my ex's and found out via facebook that she got married. i was pretty gutted cos it should have been me. if you never wanted to see her again, don't add her, you'll be happier without it. anyway, i've got a serious facebook addiciton at the mo, its good fun spying on your friends and trying to find random connections.

That's well cool, imagine the bling on that in the sunshine, trying to follow it down the road and getting blinded. Not sure about the global hypercolour thing with the exposure stuff. All a bit late 80s if you ask me.
-
not sure if they'll ever shake off the chav mantle though. a bad rep is harder to get rid of than a good rep (as i found out at school)
-
Its pretty addictive - i must know what all my friends are doing, minute by minute! Thankfully I'm down to about 5 times a day now, but i sit on email and it notifies you when anybody does something, so you can't help but look! As for friends, just steal all the ones from the forum group! The milestone is not 10, but over 50 when you have a new page.

Haven't seen an ish for about a year, but that sounds pretty much on the mark. Anyway, what do you expect from a mag that is aimed at 14-19 year olds? (and thankfully doesn't try to pretend otherwise)
-
Looks nice Mr. S, amazing what a lot of polishing can do. 8) But are you sure you don't have a part time job modelling clothes for Fruit of the Loom?
-
I'll add you.

leather is not super common, but does seem to add a fair whack on the price. Seems a tad enthusiastic on the price, but like I say, the leather'll do it. You could always buy a cloth interior, swap em over and make yourself a few hundred notes. I suppose it also depends on what has been replaced or upgraded, but it doesn't seem like there's any mods apart from the alloys.
-
agreed, for 2 grand you're in g60 territory. not so sure about maintenance, but if you're racking up the m-way miles it'd probably need it more often? sure someone will correct me! i had a 1.8 and never found it to struggle on the motorway. so it wasn't the fastest thing there but it'd do a ton without straining. I presume being the smaller engine it would be a bit more economical too?
-
Tell me about it. Mine was parked with the boot right up to double yellows. Dude, I feel for you.
-
I had much the same thing happen to me, though my bumper survived. The quote I got for repair was £1600, the car was only worth 1k with the alloys on, so the buggers wrote it off. I don't mind, its given me a chance to raid my savings and get a vr! Check out the damage, its sooo minimal. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=57013&hilit=

Indeed they should. However, would it still be classed as a Corsa? If you stick a big engine in a small car and change all the suspension, then is it still technically a Corsa. Shouldn't it be an Astra in a small body or something. At any rate its cheating, putting in a big lump in a feather. :) Anyway, why not just buy a better car with a bigger engine? Never understood this myself. :offtopic1: Oh yeah, I got spanked by a porker going round Wandsworth on the south circular as well. I could keep up in the corners but he left me for dead on the straights.
-
Yeah, but its still a Corsa! :) A lump of poo with a big engine is still a lump of poo. See American cars for more details.

Got beat by Duke_st's VR a while back. Just pulled away from my valver on the M3 like i was standing still! Now I'm looking for one as my valver has been killed.
