  1. 104.9 for V-power in south london, but it goes down the further out you get!
  2. Did this a few weeks ago, much harder to put back in than take out! Don't forget to wrap the inverter in Dynomat or something as it makes a horrible whine. I found lowering the steering wheel and pulling from the top of the clocks got them out a lot easier.
  3. Hey, I can park! I live in London and am therefore king of the parallel. It would just be nice to be able to bop away while your car parks itself and never kerbs your alloys.
  4. Not seen this before, made me wet myself. I want one of those for the rado.
  5. I was thinking just the same thing. "f*cking illegal as f*ck you know" "you're not allowed to do that blood" How eloquent the youth of today are.
  6. Actually, I've changed my mind, I'd have a kit-car AC Cobra and to hell with the practicality.
  7. Alfa Brera - its a gorgeous beastie, or an Audi RS6.
  8. This is also a very good example of what happens inside a valver engine, but done with computer animation
  9. What's with the colour, you going all ricer on us? Seriously though, those centres will look sick when they go on. Not so sure about the tdi tip, but I will watch this thread with interest, Toffee Rado is one cool machine, and I absolutely love the colour. Well done for getting another, soon you'll own all the C's in BC.
  10. This is true, its the book I used (and still have) from my national diploma college course. Not that it helped that much, I now work in banking! :D Its a very useful tool and the newer editions are very good for someone with little or no knowledge, I would definitely recommend it if you want to know the basics of mechanics. However, it is not that complicated and quite a few of the threads still leave me scratching my head (the anti-lag turbo thread being a good example). IIRC the camshaft spins at half engine speed and opens and shuts the valves.
  11. Sure i'll get corrected, but without the interior and wheels i'd say a grand, probably less. With interior and wheels, 2 grand and up? Half leather electric recaro's are a rare find and can be sold for a considerable whack of notes. Same for the wheels. It looks in pretty good nick, so its a toughie! Prices are all over the place at the moment, so I guess you could really haggle. EDIT - sod it and get a VR6, they are dead cheap now! Makes me wish I'd held out a little longer for the price drop. :(
  12. I take it you mean the only 4x4, the Land Rover. Anything else is just pointless. But I know a lot of parents buy them as they like the feeling of being up high and in something big to protect the kids. Plus there aren't that many big, practical expensive cars out there that I can think of, so many go for the SUV.
  13. Does mean that they can get to 15MPH even quicker than before! TBH there should be a size limit on cars here in London (like Tokyo) then we'd get loads of mental little 850/900cc Bi-turbo loons on the streets.. ah a happier place! Its all lies! I got into third gear the other day, and then had to brake almost straight away for traffic lights. 8) However, very late at night, certain parts of London are like an amazing race track and there is lots of fun to be had.
  14. I've never liked green Corrados but I think I've just changed my mind. That is a lovely car and immaculate too.
  15. Burn the witch!   But I know what you mean, its getting more pony by the series as they run out of cars and stuff to do. And Heroes series 2 has started in the states too, the first ep is around on t'interweb.
  16. Saw them twice at Brixton Academy back in the day, good honest fun.
  17. You need to get out the toothbrush and clean those hard-to-reach places  FF are great for playing at the proper volume, I'm not a huge fan of their later stuff, but Demanufacture is a great album. This week I have been mostly listening to 80s and 90s Megadeth. Technical mastery. As for letting the missus drive it, she might enjoy it so much she gets her own and then gets revenge! Beware!
  18. It is back! Next Sunday (7th October) at 8pm on BBC2. Thank god for that, I only have QI to keep me going at the moment.
  19. Nah, there's no hole, just a big lump of solid metal. Had thought of going to a garage, but would like to avoid spending money till absolutely necessary.
  20. Oh well, if they weren't bitching about the noise they'd just be bitching about how cramped they were.... Lots of my mates don't like getting my C due to very loud metal coming through the sub, a boomy backbox and they always think they're gonna die as they're not used to high cornering speeds and the huge grip that goes with the C. I don't care, it saves me petrol money. :D Nice car btw. 8)
  21. Well, I am in a right paddy about these bloody valve caps. They don't move and I've tried WD, heating them up and generally swearing loudly at them and still nothing. Anybody got any suggestions as to get them off without ruining the tyre? Could I hacksaw through the rubber bit? As you can see its already pretty knackered from me trying to stop them moving with mole grips. Cheers.
  22. Clicky. This is the place I saw it, but have a google around because there's no pics.
