  1. Probably had all the badges taken off and cheap respray!   He might have got a bargain, but in the current climate asking 7k is too much.
  2. That's very sobering reading, don't think I'll be cutting any corners in the future.
  3. Added a new vid in the first post or here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O60aNfdutvc
  4. That sounds like some nut is loose! Did you re-check everything a week later to see how it bedded in?
  5. You've got to cut into the headlight switch wiring, IIRC its the thick yellow/grey striped wire that you need to tap into. As you look at the connector, its one of the wires at the on the first row of the narrower part (if that makes sense). Apologies if the description is a bit off, but I am very, very drunk. :drinking: This works for the dials, so should work for the LCDs????
  6. I think it could be for the better, and you might see some rwd vw's coming out! I suppose its because they want to break out of the prestige market but don't want to cheapen the name.
  7. Where's that photo of the Manta taken? Looks like a really beautiful place with some good ruins.
  8. Mine is number 1 and always will be! 8)
  9. Don't do it dude! You'll only have to start all over again in a few years time..... Dagnammit, I was really looking forward to seeing Mrs Badcrumble getting all evil on us. Still, I think selling your car for one special day and a lifetime of misery will be worth it! Only joshing, all the best for your wedding. 8)
  10. It runs between Coulsdon and Reigate Hill (m25 junction 8 ) and is about 5 miles longish. Portnalls Rd, Coulsdon Lane and High Road.
  11. Ah, him. He's always got someone interested. Have a search about TCS on here.
  12. out of interest who is the guy selling?
  13. 'Age of Panic' by Senser. I'll email it to you if you like it.
  14. It wasn't wider than the mirror, but that road is perilously narrow. The right hander just before you see the car is only just 2 car widths so I never go round it fast. Luckily I'm one of those people who know how wide their car is to the inch and I know those roads really well so i was prepared to meet a car. I used to live very close to there and have seen enough car parts at that corner! Its not actually that far from us, about 25 mins if you ever want a blast.
  15. How did you get it to stick to the inside? It just wouldn't take on the dash. I made sure it was really well attached before setting off and had the window down so I could look every half minute or so to see it was still there!
  16. I have the first 8 tracks of Stacked Up (the album it came from, plus a remixy type thing of Age of Panic and States of Mind) and also have the Schematic album too. I could burn it onto a CD for you if you wanted - PM me if you do, hopefully it will inspire me to buy some more blank CDs!
  17. I got the camcorder from Singapore (sorry!) and the sucker holder is 7.99 from Maplins. It does shake around quite alot though and doesn't seem to want to stick to the dash, hence why I decided to stick it to the bodywork. Cheers Toad. No, its lowered on some unknown red and yellows that were on the car when I got it. The next purchase is some tasty coillies! 8) Watch this space for more videos!
  18. Yeah, I was shocked at how many times the wheel disappeared up into the arches. Didn't mean to use that song either - was going to use Express Yourself by S.O.U.L. Its so much cooler and fits the vid better. Oh well.
  19. I'm guessing it's the same 70 litre tank that we've got here. The dollar's about half a pound at the moment, so call it £30 for a fill up. Or in other words 43p/litre :( Yeah, but that's only for 91 RON. Think of how sluggish your VR would feel! Plus the government picks up the rest of the tab, and how do governments make their money? Taxes.
  20. How much is that in old money?
  21. I bought a cheap camera sucker thingy the last weekend and decided to test it out. Its really shakey, but it was along a bumpy road. Its one of my favourites though, as it really tests the car's handling as it chops and bounces around. The road has loads of up and down corners that can be taken at a reasonable speed, but I didn't really hoof it at all. The video is taken from behind the offside front wheel and the angle is quite cool! Video 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O60aNfdutvc This one is more of an extended re-run of the first, but I also went over some speed humps and along a flat road for comparison too. This time the camera is slightly lower so you can see more of the wheel.
  22. No way, never met an American I liked (no offence to our siblings across the pond btw), but I have met quite a few cool Canadians.
  23. Had a guy on a bike pull up next to me at the lights today. 'That a G60?' 'No, VR6' 'That's really nice, I've had a few Corrados myself. They're excellent motors' 'Thanks, this is my second' At which point the lights change and I treat him to a nice wheelspinning launch and we have a little play for a mile or so before I turn off and he honks as he goes past. Also had a guy at Halfrauds moaning about how his VR6 goof only has the 2.8.
